God Always Wins

The Neocatechumenal Way was born in the slums of Madrid in 1964.  The Way is already 52 years old, and it was born among the poor.  There are over 1 million people walking in the Way.  Four popes (Vicars of Christ) recognize that the Way was a gift from the Holy Spirit.  These popes include Pope Paul VI, St. John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis.  Four popes could not be in error.  There are also certain signs showing that it indeed came from the Holy Spirit.  One of those signs is the kind of fruits it brings.  By their fruits shall you know the disciples of Christ.

Christ has given us a new commandment to follow: Love your neighbor as I have loved you.  This new commandment determines who the disciples of Christ are.  They are the ones who love all people including the enemy.  They are the ones who can forgive those who lash out at them.  This new commandment is what fulfills all the laws and prophets.  This new commandment determines who are the true disciples of Christ.  Those who follow this new commandment brings much fruits.

The Church was built by Christ and belongs to Christ.  He is the protector of the Church because He is her head.  He leads His Church where He wants her to go.  Man does not lead the Catholic Church, and the Catholic Church does not follow the demands of man.  She follows her head, who is Christ.

Acts 5:38-39  Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

Consider this:  The NCW is 52 years old and still going strong with over 1 million people.  The NCW has the support of the Pope that when the Bishops in Japan wanted to expel the Way out of the country, they could not do it simply because the Pope said, "NO, the Way stays in Japan."

For the last three years, the jungle have been desperately trying to remove Archbishop Apuron and the NCW.  In those three years, they conducted demonstrations, hand-billed parishes, brought all kinds of accusations against the Archbishop and the Way, and even resorted to verbal abuse.  Still, they have accomplished nothing.  They are having a  very difficult time because the NCW is a gift from the Holy Spirit sent to His Church.  What comes from God cannot be stopped.  God always wins.

According to Pope Francis, (the Vicar of Christ) who said to the NCW on March 6, 2016:

So you too have wanted with this gesture to ask the Successor of Peter to confirm your call, to support your mission, to bless your charism. And I want to confirm your call, support your mission and bless your charism.........
This is the Neocatechumenal Way, a true gift of Providence to the Church of our time, as my predecessors have already stated; especially St. John Paul II when he said: "I recognize the Neocatechumenal Way as an itinerary of Catholic formation, valid for society and for our times" (Epist. Whenever, August 30, 1990: AAS 82 [1990], 1515). The Way is based on the three dimensions of the Church which are the Word, Liturgy and Community........
"How much joy you give us with your presence and your activity!" - said Blessed Pope Paul VI during the very first audience with you (May 8, 1974: Teachings of Pope Paul VI, XII [1974], 407). I also make these words my own and encourage you to move forward, entrusting you to the Blessed Virgin Mary who inspired the Neocatechumenal Way.
Pope Francis recognized that the NCW was a gift of the Holy Spirit and inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary.  He encouraged us to move forward, and so we shall.  Our unity is with the Archbishop of Guam, who is the local Vicar of Christ.  This is how we know for certain that we are united with the One, Holy, Catholic Church.

  1. Very well said! The Jungle folks will try to dismiss the verses Acts 5:38-39. Very powerful citation of 4 popes recognizing the Way as a gift of the Holy Spirit. The Jungle folks will have their off-island deceivers again try to twist the truth. The Jungle folks may question the accuracy of the translation of what the popes said AND EVEN ACTS 5:38-39!

Desperate Jungle folks will again do desperate things! The funny thing is, after a while, the Jungle folks' own words will illuminate who they really are - vengeful liars with a vendetta against the Way, the archbishop and anyone else who do not fall in line with what they want our local Catholic Church to be. What charism is next for the Jungle folks to attack? The Cursillo? Marriage Encounter? Catholic Daughters? Legion of Mary?

The Way is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Luke 6:48-49 "That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built." That one being the initiators of the Way. The rock being the Holy Spirit. The flood being the Jungle folks and their misguided CCOG and LFM followers.

  7. I mean even the word "Jungle" doesn't sound like it's of Christian intentions. Like a jungle, it is filled with animals, and we've seen our brothers from there act like it. Be a Christian, not a snake.
