Father Santiago Flor Caravia Blessed By Pope Francis
Below is the full video of Pope Francis receiving Kiko Arguello and the Neocatechumenal Way on March 6, 2015.
One of the priests who was called up was Father Santiago Flor Caravia who was sent on mission to Japan. I was told by one of the NCW members that Father Santiago currently belongs to the Archdiocese of Hagatna, Guam. Therefore, we have an RMS priest representing Guam who was blessed by Pope Francis. Congratulations to Father Santiago and to all those RMS priests who were called during the audience with Pope Francis. :-)

as expected when Santiago left Guam and was replaced by another priest; the parishioners felt a great loss.
ReplyDeleteWe had all come to know Santiago as a brother in Christ but also a obedient priest.....a caring priest.
During his latest visit; people were very vocal about how they missed him...how they wanted him back in the parish.
Santiago's response was......I need to pray so much more because I think I failed as a your priest. My work was to bring everyone closer to Jesus Christ....not myself.
He maybe unwanted in Japan.....by the bishops....and perhaps by many Japanese who don't know Jesus Christ but Santiago went back to Japan...obedient to his mission....obedient to his Father.
as with the mission families in the NCW; they live with what God provides for them......and they are happy.
Suffering maybe....but obedient and happy.
Santiago is not a priest inxardinated here...his obedience is with Japan. he was returned to Japan by the order of his Bishop....not Apuron....

Santiago was called back by his Bishop in Japan. Archbishop APURON asked if he can stay back a few more months. Father Santiago was NOT sent on a mission. He returned to his community in Japan.

DeleteFather Santiago was one of the four Diocesan priests sent on a mission on February 2014. He belongs to Guam, and he was sent by Archbishop Apuron on that mission.

Giuseppe sent him to Japan, as an itinerant priest to be with itinerant families in mission, AAA just approved it, he can't do anything.

DeleteIf the Archbishop cannot do anything (as you say), then why did you say that the Archbishop approved it?? That would not make any sense. If the Archbishop REALLY cannot do anything, there is no reason for him to approve anything........simple as that.
The simple answer to this argument is to ask - where is this priest incardinated. If it is Guam, then Archbishop Apuron has the authority to "send him". If he is not incardinated in Guam, then the Archbishop does not have that authority directly, but only with the permission of the priest's Bishop or Ordinary. Simple as that.

If he belonged to GUAM, then why did the Bishop of Japan ask for him back. Father Santiago belongs to Japan. He was incardinated in Japan, ergo his diocese is in Japan. He was sent here on loan. Why don't you ask Father Santiago himself. How can someone be sent on a mission from a place he came from already? He came from Japan to GUAM and then sent on a mission to Japan again? Something is wrong here.

DeleteThe information came from someone in Father Santiago's community, who got the information from Father Santiago himself. Apparently, Father Santiago must have told the news to his community in Guam, and the rest of the communities got wind of it.
Yes, Father Santiago told us his on mission in Japan and was sent by Archbishop Apuron.
DeleteIsn't there a LIST of those who ARE incardinated in Agana? Like Wadeson, for instance? Where is the list. It is surely NOT a secret.
DeleteThe real truth is whether he is a priest of Guam, he is still sent buy his itinerant catechist. He can only go with the approval of AAA. AAA is under Giuseppi in the sense that he is a member of the community. All instructions can only come from Giuseppi. He talks to AAA, AAA says yes. AAA cannot do anything, otherwise AAA will be disobedient to his catechist.

unbelievable how people can comment on Santiago without having a clue. 2nd...3rd...4th hand information....no wonder why rohr is so believable to them.
