What Sort Of Person?

I wrote in my blog that the last number of the U Matuma had to be reprinted because the financial review had to be updated. Tim Rohr addressed a series of questions on his blog.

What sort of a bishop would be "coming out" at all?
I did not say that THE ARCHBISHOP WAS GOING TO COME OUT. THE INTERNAL REVIEW AT THE CEMETERIES AND CATHEDRAL IS GOING ON AND THEY ARE BOUND TO COME OUT because this is their work

What sort of a bishop would be "coming out" with evidence of mismanagement in order to publicly incriminate one of his priests?
THE ARCHBISHOP DID NOT AND DOES NOT WANT TO INCRIMINATE ANYBODY. THE ARCHBISHOP WENT TO THE RECTOR OF THE CATHEDRAL OFFERING HIM A NEW APPOINTMENT AT ANOTHER PARISH OR A SABBATICAL, AS MONSIGNOR HIMSELF HAD ASKED BEFORE

What sort of a bishop takes internal problems public without a single attempt to address those problems with the privacy that charity demands?
THE ARCHBISHOP TRIED TO ASSESS THESE PROBLEMS SINCE 2005, WHEN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CATHEDRAL VEHEMENTLY REFUSED TO SUBJECT ITSELF TO AN AUDIT. IN THE SUBSEQUENT YEARS THE ARCHBISHOP TRIED OVER AND OVER TO ADDRESS THESE PROBLEMS WITHOUT RESULTS.

CHARITY IS BASED ON TRUTH AND JUSTICE.

OTHERS WENT TO THE PRESS NOT ACCEPTING WHAT WAS AT THAT STAGE A SIMPLE CHANGE OF APPOINTMENT. AFTER THE THING WENT PUBLIC, THE ARCHBISHOP HAD THE DUTY TO INFORM THE PEOPLE OF WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON.

What sort of a bishop persistently goes to the media (once to the secular media and twice now to the U Matuna) about a problem with a priest that even the manager of the smallest company would not even think of doing?
THE ARCHBISHOP NEVER WENT TO THE MEDIA, YOU WENT TO THE MEDIA WITH LIES AND CALUMNIES AND INSULTS.  THE ARCHBISHOP HAS THE DUTY TO ADMINISTER WELL THE GOODS OF THE ARCHDIOCESE WHICH BELONG TO THE FAITHFUL.

What sort of a bishop goes public with documentation that he won't even show to the priest he is using the documentation against?
THE REPORT OF DELOITTE AND TOUCHE, DOCUMENTING THE PROBLEMS, HAD BEEN PRESENTED TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CATHEDRAL AND CEMETERIES BEFORE THE VISIT OF THE ARCHBISHOP: SO MUCH SO, THAT A TEAM WAS ASSEMBLED AT CATHEDRAL AND CEMETERIES TO CORRECT THE VERY RECOMMENDATIONS OF THAT REPORT.

THE REPORT OF DELOITTE SAYS THAT THE CEMETERY MADE AN AUDIT IMPOSSIBLE. THE ASSESMENT THAT THESE ENTITIES ARE INAUDITABLE, HAS VERY SERIOUS FINANCIAL AND CANONICAL CONSEQUENCES WHICH HAVE TO BE DEALT WITH.

THERE WAS NO OTHER DOCUMENT TO BE PRODUCED, EXCEPT WHAT WILL COME OUT IN THE FUTURE THROUGH THE INTERNAL REVIEW.

What sort of a company manager would not want to handle his company's problems personally and internally, let alone an Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church?
THE ARCHBISHOP TRIED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS AMICABLY MANY TIMES BUT SOMEONE ELSE CHOSE THE PUBLIC ARENA. ONCE THESE ISSUES BECAME PUBLIC AND WRONG INFORMATION WAS DISSEMINATED, THE ONLY VENUE WAS TRANSPARENCY. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, YOU ASKED FOR TRANSPARENCY ON YOUR BLOG MANY TIMES, ISN’T IT? NOW YOU ASK HIM NOT TO BE TRANSPARENT?

What sort of a father would prefer to smear his son in the press before trying to work things out with his son?
THE ARCHBISHOP DID NOT AND DOES NOT WANT TO SMEAR ANYBODY AND WANTED TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER PEACEFULLY AND WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF HIS AUTHORITY; YOU WENT TO THE PRESS TRYING TO SMEAR YOUR ARCHBISHOP.

What sort of a bishop is this?
      A CARING AND LOVING FATHER.

LET ME ASK YOU SOME QUESTIONS

WHAT SORT OF PERSON WOULD OFFER A REWARD (!!!!!), TO THOSE WHO WOULD HELP HIM DISCOVER SOMEONE WHO IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL NOR IS SHE INSULTING ANYBODY? THESE ARE MAFIA’S METHODS! DO YOU WANT TO INTIMIDATE ME? DO YOU WANT TO ORGANIZE A BEATING OR A LYNCHING?

WHAT SORT OF A PERSON WOULD STRONGLY SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE  A PETITION TO SEND AWAY A PRIEST IN GOOD STANDING?

WHAT SORT OF PERSON WOULD INSULT PEOPLE WITH EXPLETIVES IN A PUBLIC BLOG?

WHAT SORT OF A PERSON WOULD ACCUSE PEOPLE OF CRIMES, EVEN MONEY LAUNDERING, WITHOUT EVEN A SHRED OF EVIDENCE?

WHAT SORT OF A PERSON WOULD WISH HIS ARCHBISHOP TO GO TO HELL?

WHAT SORT OF A PERSON WOULD CALL HIS ARCHBISHOP EVIL INCARNATE?

WHAT SORT OF A PERSON WOULD WISH HIS ARCHBISHOP SICK OR DEAD?

I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WERE ON THE PAYROLL OF THE CATHEDRAL FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, WHICH MAKES YOU THE DE FACTSPOKEPERSON OF THE CATHEDRAL ADMINISTRATION, BUT THOUGHT THAT YOU BELONGED ALSO TO THE CATHOLIC EVIDENCE GUILD OF GUAM, WHICH I RESPECT. THE  GUILD RESPECTS HIERARCHY AS DIVINELY INSTITUTED: FOR EXAMPLE, IN YOUR OWN GUILD’S BLOG, REGARDING QUESTIONS OF BIBLICAL INTERPRETATIONS, SOMEONE WROTE:

The same questions, as to which books and their meanings, arise today. Again, we have to consult the successors of the Apostles, the bishops of the Catholic Church.”

OBVIOUSLY, THIS SAME PRINCIPLE OF CONSULTING AND OBEYING BISHOPS, IF IT APPLIES TO THE MOST SACRED RESPONSIBILITY OF INTERPRETING THE WORD OF GOD, IT APPLIES A FORTIORI TO OTHER QUESTIONS ON WHICH BISHOPS SHOULD BE CONSULTED AND OBEYED.

INSTEAD YOU SEEM TO HAVE SHIFTED TO THE MENTALITY OF A FUNDAMENTALIST PROTESTANT SECT FOR WHOM THE AUTHORITY OF THE BISHOP IS NULL AND NON EXISTENT AND EVERY MATTER IS JUST SUBMITTED TO EVERYBODY’S OWN TASTES AND EVERYBODY’S OWN REASONING: THE DICTATORSHIP OF RELATIVISM. YOU CONTINUE TO GO TO THE MEDIA PUTTING YOURSELF ABOVE THE ARCHBISHOP.
COME ON, LET US STOP THIS NONSENSE, STOP PLAYING POLITICS OR WHATEVER IT IS, AND COME BACK TO YOUR SENSES.

BIG PROBLEMS ARE CLOUDING OUR FUTURE, LIKE THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA, WHICH WOULD BE A TRAGEDY FOR EVERY FAMILY, THE INTRODUCTION OF CASINOS AND THE INTRODUCTION OF LEGISLATION MEANT TO DESTROY THE VERY CONCEPT OF FAMILY AND HUMAN SEXUALITY.

I BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THESE THREATS AND NEITHER I NOR THE COMMUNITIES CONSIDER YOU AN ENEMY.

WE HAVE TO UNITE TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DEVIL WHO WANTS TO DESTROY OUR FAMILIES AND ESPECIALLY OUR CHILDREN. THE HEALING OF THE ARCHDIOCESE MUST CONTINUE AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYBODY IN GUAM.  CONTINUING THROWING INSULTS AND THESE ATTACKS ON PERSONS WILL ONLY DAMAGE THE CHURCH AND WORSEN THE POSITION OF THOSE INVOLVED.

    1. El Camino, it has been over 10 months since Tim Rohr received the letter from the Grand Master but he has not stopped his blog even when the Grand Master threatened to remove him from the knighthood. To me that means EITHER that Tim Rohr doesn't value the knighthood as much as he values telling the truth along with his verifications OR that the Grand Master has realized that what Tim was writing about the Archbishop on his blog all this time was true. Tim Rohr received that letter while the main topic of his blog was the Archbishop's removal of Fr. Paul Gofigan. Hardly anything was said back then about the Archbishop's ties to the NCW. Back then his blog was getting about 100 page views each day and probably just from Guam. It has been more than 10 months and now his blog gets about 800 page views each hour from all around the world even the VATICAN. Since the Vatican is also viewing don't you think that by now the Grand Master would have removed Tim Rohr as a knight and informed the Archbishop? Why don't you ask Tim Rohr yourself about whether Cardinal O'Brien ever took action against him? I'd be interested to know the answer too.

    2. 10:34 am - grandmaster writing you says a lot. If your father say to stop and you continue to brush it. This says disobedience. They take note of this and I won't ignore if I were you. He can have million view daily and won't mean a thing for me. What matter here Archbishop Kreb war everyone that his Blog is labeled as a hate blog. What baffle me more for those who is against the Archbishop Apuron, demanded Archbishop Krebs to grant them their request. I would say who are you to say this? Tim Rohr is treating this fiasco as American Government. Vatican viewed his page? I would not boast or celebrate if I were you. That was me, I knew that would tickle you because of your mud slinging on people. Lastly I would not ask Tim, I fully understand where he stand and wishes the Archbishop dead and incarnate evil . I have no respect with no man who go after women and children. When community member speak good things about the Way, you call these people a liar. Your heart is spewed with hate and I hope you go to confession before you receive the body and blood of Christ. Tell Tim Rohr to keep up his mud slinging, so I really have a good reason to write the Pope ( not the Archbishop ) for his nomination for Excommunication.

    5. Archbishop Krebs NEVER labeled jungle watch as a hate blog. Whatever gave you that idea? I've known him for years and I am happy to see him posted in New Zealand. I am a fellow German (we went to the same seminary) and rest assure he takes notes and knows what is going on. In his words "it comes with the job" He knows people go to it to air their grievances and don't put names because of retribution. He will not silence freedom of speech- he values it! In Australia, we are having he same difficulties with the NCW. So he lends great calm and wisdom and remains a great friend.

    6. Dear Anonymous at 7:33 a.m.,

Where in Junglewatch did Archbishop Krebs post? I heard it from Father Pius who was in contact with Archbishop Krebs. He did say that Archbishop Krebs labeled it a hate blog, and Father Pius told the brothers not to go into Junglewatch.

Freedom of speech is one thing, and I also value that. Hate speech is another, which I do not value. This is why I do not publish any of the hate comments that came through my blog.

    9. @ Diana. A blog is nothing new- they have them in Germany, the UK, Italy, Australlia, Japan all have them and it is used to express the public sentiment about their religious leaders. I asked him about JW specifically since you say he labeled it as such it and he never labeled it as such. I have numerous email exchanges between us and what he writes is very interesting which I cannot reveal. I highly doubt he maintains a relationship with Father Pius of any sort. We are closely watching what is going on and my duties in Austriallia and dealings with the NCW controversies are similar. I will leave it at that.

  3. Diana, why do you feel you have to be the spokesperson for the Archbishop? Why isn't the Archbishop clarifying things for himself, speaking for himself? Why? I truly, truly believe that had he addressed the concerns from the very beginning, none of this would have escalated to this point. As the leader of the Catholic Church on Guam, he's responsible to lead his flock.....not scatter them! As the Shepherd, his response to all the confusion and concerns that were surfacing needed to be addressed immediately! He did not do this! Those in walking in the NCW and those who aren't deserve much better than this!

    1. Dear Anonymous at 9:20 a.m,

This blog was started without the knowledge of my catechists or the Archbishop. The Archbishop, Father Pius (who is the itinerant Catechist on Guam), and even my own catechists do not even know who I am. I have defended the Archbishop and the NCW since I started this blog. It was in the hope to reach out to those not walking in the Way to help understand what the NCW is about.

Explain how the Archbishop can reconcile with his priests when someone leaks out the minutes of a closed meeting, causing distrust among the clergy? Explain how the Archbishop can resolve internal problems with his priests when someone always makes the first move to make it public? How can he lead his flock when Tim Rohr is always FIRST in the public eye before the Archbishop could make any kind of explanation? Tim Rohr is always there to set the stage first.

    4. Dear Anonymous at 7:42 p.m.,

What makes you think that I needed their permission? So, herein lies your misconception of the Way. Do you honestly think that I would even need the permission of the catechist to get an email address, let along a blog site?

      Delete
    5. Why is it that people think it's ok for TR to speak as if he is the spokesperson for the church of Guam, but we can't speak in support or defense of the Archbishop? Does he have special permission. Or something from the church? And I don't get how hard it is to understand that we are free to obey or disobey eh? Are we speaking in plain English or not eh? Why do ghost continue to think that members of the Way need permission to blog, etc eh? What people need to understand is that the Archbishop was NOT the one who went crying to the media making this a circus. I mean since when was a priest moving from one parish to another news worthy? Was there any media coverage detailing the packing and moving and unpacking when Pale Mike was moved to Toto from Malesso eh? Or when Father Richard Kidd was moved to Maina or Pale Adrian to Barrigada or Pale Alberto to Agat eh? Why is Monsignor moving to Tamuning news worthy? Why eh? Because the humble "Peoples Priest" and his inner circle made it that way. So please lay the blame to the right people and start speaking the truth of the matter. Because when you take a step back and look at this whole mess...it all started when the lesser road WAS chosen. A true humble priest would have prevented this from becoming the circus it has become by taking the higher road instead of playing the victim card. Let a pray for healing for our church and truly pray that these priest learn to be humble in their suffering.

It will be the Internal Review that will be coming out and publishing the financial report, so one cannot blame the Archbishop for lying or forging the financial report.

In my blog, one junglewatcher interpreted Tim's words to mean that it would be better for the Archbishop to be so severely sick rather than evil incarnate and then asked me to choose which one I prefer. Another junglewatcher named Rey D., interpreted Tim's comments to mean that Tim was trying to explain the Archbishop's series of actions as "evil incarnate." 2. Tim Rohr is a business man. Now we know it. His Catholic "zeal" is all fake, cover up for his business interest. His involvement in anti-abortion stances in the past was his way of penetrating clergy circles around the Cathedral and getting the trust of important people. Once he was trusted he built his Catholic shop empire in the Cathedral hammering together his money making business on the back of the faithful. He might have convinced some clergy to do inappropriate thing in supporting his business that he rewarded from his own pocket. But this led to corrupted financial management practices and an eventual downfall at an official audit.

When Tim saw that his practices can't continue and the Archbishop will discover the inappropriate practices, he started to play a different kind of game. On the surface, he disassociated himself from the Cathedral shop, while the truth is that his continued interest remained intact and thinly veiled by managerial changes. At the same time he started an all- out attack against the Archbishop who did not want to participate in his murky business. yes, these attacks were motivated by sheer business interest, very clearly, when Tim started his vicious campaign in 2013. How to know? Well, he cited things back from 2006 and 2007 to attack the Archbishop. Why in 2013 and not earlier? Because his business dictated him to do so!

We see Tim Rohr's newly established business association with Italian anti-Neocatechumenal businesses. Yes, the anti-Way business in Italy is a multimillion dollar business! Anti-Way "true Catholic" gurus spew out nonsense after nonsense in their Internet forums for their followers to chew on in order to entice them to give their money to support their causes. They raise money for innumerable fake causes, all for "defending true Catholics" against the impending doom caused. allegedly, by the Way. It is so hilarious if not tragical. They feast on the ignorance and gullibility of plain folks. Now, Tim Rohr wants to join their ranks in order to make up the money he is losing by being kicked off from the Cathedral business.

Do you all see the real Tim? He is a business man before anything else. Then, he is a fake Catholic bemusing himself by "leading" the fundamentalist section of Guam Catholics who are so blinded by their zealotry that they don't even notice the obvious: Tim Rohr only needs them to do business on their back! How bitter it could be for them to wake up one day to the truth! Because the truth will come out sooner or later, inevitably!

Nothing could be further from the truth when he says " Diana counter response's have been civil, reconcilatory and patient". Diana either just doesn't get it, or she drank the same Kiko kool aid as Juan and Ernie.

However, I do agree that there are many sacrifices made by good and sincere Neos and catechist, their appreciated. I should know, I am the blood of a good and sincere catechist and a very close relative of some responsibles. Still, that does not change the fact that your leaders have engaged in hostile acts against traditional Catholics. And it is the Arch who enables your leaders through his title and position; the NCW is powerless without the Arch under their control. Many level headed, clear thinking, honest members of the NCW are now beginning to question the intentions of your leaders. They won't say it to fellow members out of fear of retribution, but they say it to a non member like me.

    2. Dear Anonymous at 12:25 pm,

First of all, I may have to admit that Ernie May have a point. Tim Rohr is indeed a businessman, and I find him to be all about money. Anyone who has been to his blog can even see that he asks people to support his blog through donations.....money.\

Secondly, there are times I disagree with the Archbishop too. In fact, I believe that the second seminary with only one seminarian in it is a waste of money, but you do not see me showing any disrespect to the Archbishop nor condemning him to Hell as Tim Rohr did. It was Tim who called the Archbishop "evil incarnate" and even hoped that he would be so severely I'll so he could be removed. It was also Tim who put up a reward for anyone to look me up so as to discover me.

It is not disrespectful to disagree. But it is outright hatred to condemn someone to Hell.

    3. I do believe you have it wrong....to disagree is not being disrespectful. It is voicing your opinion.
When I voice my opinion, Father Pius, right in front of me, told someone I loved dearly that I was the "she devil, that would be the destroyer". All I was doing was asking a question.

Being told this was very humiliating! Now you know why I loath the man! I will never respect his words!

There's no secret in the NCW. The songs and how we celebrate are on the Internet. I kept my identity secret because of the jungle. Just look at how they persecuted Zoltan. The jungle posted his workplace and work number. They demean his profession as a math professor despite that math has nothing to do with religion. Zoltan even admitted to me in my blog that they threatened his job. And then, there's the Archbishop's tires that got slashed. They probably would have done the same thing to my tires at my job site.

Can 1369 - A person who in a public show or speech, in published writing, or in other uses of the instruments of social communication utters blasphemy, gravely injures good morals, expresses insults, or excites hatred or contempt against religion or the Church is to be punished with a just penalty.

      AND

Can. 1373 - A person who publicly incites among subjects animosities or hatred against the Apostolic See or an ordinary because of some act of power or ecclesiastical ministry or provokes subjects to disobey them is to be punished by an interdict or other just penalties.

Now, does anybody recall what Tim said about the archbishop in the blog or media which match any of these acts of inciting hatred, creating animosities, calling for disobedience or hoping for the death of the archbishop?

    3. And we will respond that the reason for this disobedience is because our very own archbishop is instilling force to follow kiko when we want to follow Jesus Christ instead!!

    5. How is the Archbishop forcing?????By canning our priests who refuse to follow the statutes of Kiko!!! Where is the free will here....

If you want to have a community open, do it in your own backyard! We will fight to the finish! As you stated, many are called but few are chosen? Well for us it's, many are quite, but push us and we will rally full force with our own testaments. If you haven't heard the old Chamorro statement...I mas Fafa'kilu mas fotte!

    6. Dear Anonymous at 6:01 pm,

According to the news report, one was removed for disobedience while the other was removed for financial mismanagement. I noticed that Tim Rohr is no longer talking about the finances. Now, why is that?? I believe he is trying to distract you away from the finances by focusing your attention on things like "not kneeling." The financial mismanagement is slowly surfacing.

    7. You mean slowly being doctored. Don't forget the Tagle letter and everything else. We haven't forgotten. We know how the NCW works.

How can you know when you are not walking? And what about the Tagle letter? A lie is not the same as an error.

  15. anonymous.....your catehist father, mother and responsible relatives are responsible only to proclaim the truth, they are not responsible for how someone interprets the truth. You claim that the NCW leadership attacks traditional Catholic's but in reality you fail to profess how or what instance or what situation. Your comments about people seeps in bitterness, certainly not civil or reconcilatory. A window into your heart.

I cannot answer for Mr. Rohr. But if I was a successful businessperson in the community outside the Church, I would not be under the Church's payroll taking extra more money......and especially from the Church?

Today is Sunday......a day of no work, but a day to do good. This blog, which defends our Church leader is a good thing.

    2. In defense of Diana, her entries are thoughtful, logical, reasonable, truthful, civil and are according to Church doctrine. Now, compare this to the voluminous amount of personal attacks, viciousness, name-calling, calumnies, threats, mis-information and false accusations coming from the Jungle. Diana's Blog is a breath of fresh air compared to the SMOKE of the Jungle. The fact that Diana is correcting evil with truth, that she is calling-out error in the name of justice, the she is shedding light on the darkness of error, this is a work of charity. Remember that one WORK of Mercy/Charity is to educate the ignorant. Therefore, Diana is accomplishing her duty as a faithful Catholic by doing this blog as a work of charity/love/mercy. It is an enlightenment for those who have been led astray by the errors of the Jungle.

  21. I BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THESE THREATS AND NEITHER I NOR THE COMMUNITIES CONSIDER YOU AN ENEMY....re these threats and non-stance as an ememy then, will ABAA seek Mr. Rohr in being his spokesman once again to fight these threats for him?

  22. Dear Anonymous at 10:20 p.m.,

I think Mr. Rohr is capable of fighting these issues on his own. The Church, on the other hand, is also capable of fighting against the legalization of marijuana, same sex marriage, etc. on her own just as she had always done for many centuries.

  23. My dear Diana,

The problem today with freedom of speech is that so many people abuse it. I don't understand why there is so much animosity and such poor use of language and logic raised against those who walk in the NCW. There is really no need for the ugly name calling or the mud slinging at people like Fr. Pius and most especially the Archbishop. I cannot believe that in his 25 years as our Archbishop, that for 24 years he was the people's hero...the people's champion. He was a defender of those who could not defend themselves. He always did and does still speak out against gambling and abortion, and so on and so on, not because he is old fashioned or anything but because as a shepherd he truly sees the damage it does to his flock. I still view him as this same man, who has love and concern for all the people of Guam, catholic or not.

And for all those people who do not walk in the NCW and consider themselves true and traditional catholics, what ever happened to loving the neighbor? Or in all our cases, loving the enemy? Why not show mercy like the Good Samaritan? If we are wrong, why not approach it with charity? You say you want to build bridges, but why does it feel more like you are pigeon-holing all the people who walk in the NCW onto one side of said bridge and setting that thing on fire?

I fully support the Archbishop. And I fully support everything that Diana publishes on this blog. God bless you, Diana. Thank you for speaking the truth when all the world wants is a lie. Thank you. I am praying for you, as I pray for our dear friends Tim Rohr and Chuck White and their families. Peace.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 12:54 pm,

Can you guarantee that the next meeting the Archbishop calls to meet with his priests for unity is not going to be leaked out and published in the jungle where it will only be ridiculed? If not, then perhaps it should start at your end to give us that assurance and trust.
