NCW Seminarian Interviewed About The Way
This video below shows a seminarian from Paraguay explaining a little bit about the Neocatechumenal Way and how it saved the marriage of his parents. Because of the Way, he has found his vocation into the priesthood. We are in a battle against the secular world that wants to destroy families.
The Neocatechumenal Way offers an opportunity for families to work together. Couples are turning away from divorce and are no longer afraid to be open to life. In the Way, the importance and role of the families are discussed in the catechesis and even in the Beginning of the Year retreats. RMS priests are being trained to give catechesis in their homilies as well as tie today's readings together so that the homilies becomes relevant in the every day life of the faithful. The Way is also producing many priests not only to do the missionary work that Christ instructed them to do, but also to conduct the Mass for the faithful.
Kiko Arguello have often said that the Neocatechumenal Way came from God. The Pope has said that it is a gift from the Holy Spirit. What we do know is that the Way started among the poor. It did not start with the rich. It started from the poor, and it came from poverty. As I said before, God chooses the poor, the weak, the humblest, the handicap, and even the worst sinner as His chosen ones so that through their weaknesses, God can manifest His power and strength. COURAGE!!!

Oh, the NCW "saved the marriage of his parents"? Of course it did. In fact the NCW "saved the marriage" of every members' parents. It also, no doubt, saved every member from drugs, masturbation, pre-marital sex, and "discos".
ReplyDeleteAs everyone knows, the NCW is the "savior" and if these people had merely remained in the "parish" they would be divorced, pregnant, masturbating dancers.
Dear Anonymous 2:11 p.m.,
DeletePlease grow up. This is the kind of childish taunts that I find in the jungle, and this blogsite is not the jungle. Everyone knows that Christ is the Head of the Church. The NCW is part of the Church. If the NCW is able to save the marriage of a couple, then the glory belongs to Christ. It is the same with "Couples for Christ". If that organization was able to save so many marriage, then praise God. Instead, you come in here with your taunts.
This post shows a seminarian and his views of how the NCW save the marriage of his parents. He is not even comparing it to the parish church, Couples for Christ, or any other organization.
More rehearsed brainwashing....same old, old, story told all over. My parents were getting divorced....Ihated mt father ( that's a biggie)... On and on.....brainwashing. I have yet to hear even one unique story. Not, one. It is world-wide though. That I admit.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous at 5:15 p.m.,
DeleteMost stories about divorce are usually the same. There is a very high divorce rate on Guam and the United States, and many of the problems seen in divorce are somewhat the same. So, that is not brainwashing. That is a fact.
The cohabitation rate on Guam is high, and children are being born outside of marriage. Some children are not even being raised by their own parents, but by grandma and grandpa. There are many single parents raising children, and their stories are very similar. No brainwashing there, but a fact of life.
Yes, these are facts of life today...the narrative is word for word...heard it many times. It is a big red flag go a cult.
DeleteDear Anonymous at 8:25 p.m.,
DeleteI have been in the Way for 8 years and I have heard it said differently. How long have you been walking?
In the Way, we teach that a family who eats and prays together stays together. We encourage families to attend Mass together, and we also encourage married couples to go out on a date at least every month. These are the same teachings as the Catholic Church, and if you say that we are cult due to these teachings, then you are also saying that the Catholic Church is a cult.
When Christ created the Church, He created them for people broken with sin. He did not create the Church for the righteous. If one feels that they are righteous, he/she does not need the Church.
Started to walk at ten months! Parents couldn't believe it. We also ate and were together all the time. I leaned to pray at my mothers knee. I went faithfully to CCD and have been involved completely in the Church for almost 70 years. So far, so good. to carried away with my story...thanks for asking how long I've been walking.
DeleteDear Anonymous at 10:41 pm,
DeleteThat is exactly my point. You have not been walking at all. If you had, you would have known that those people who were on the verge of divorce were there for different reasons. So, it is not the same story word for word.
Good point Diana if this Charism is CULT then your calling the Catholic Church a CULT.
ReplyDeleteYes the ncw has helped people but the issues of the mass, secrecy, and the parallel church feeling are still serious issues.
ReplyDeleteFor example why doesn't the ncw use the other eucharistic prayers besides 2? Why is the new aesthitic mandatory?
