Connections

Guamboy did an excellent job in explaining his opinion.  He is also very perception as he connected all the connections.  Below is his comment, which I believe deserves its own post.  His comments can be found here and here (spacing is mine):

Part 1
I am not a follower of the Neocatechumenal Way but I respect them! I am a regular Catholic who devotes many of my volunteer hours helping my Parish, but I am not part of the CCOG or LFM. I believe that the CCOG and LFM is a group that is out to push their personal agenda, ie, Removal of Archbishop Apuron and other things. I have been a very active parishioner for about 16 years of my life and I am concerned with the current Archdiocese administration. Why? Because since Archbishop Hon has arrived, he was and still is being confronted by the people who cause the greater division in the Church on Guam. But, since Archbishop Hon is showing his colors to protect or favor more of the local priest such as Monsignor James, Fr. Paul and Fr. Jeff but what about the other priests who are willing to help for the good of the Church. There are many priests that have been silent and obey their superiors like the some filippino priests and the priests that are following in the neocatechumenal way. But, I believe it is the local priests that are the reason for these division. Such as Monsignor James. When he was removed by Archbishop Apuron for Financial Mismanagement was because he signed for checks from the Catholic Cemetery Inc. for the use of his personal Anniversary Celebration. Even though there is an intent to repay after the celebration is unbecoming of a priest. His evidence is that the former board approved the transaction is still in question because the members of the board at that time are close friends. Why do I say close, is because John Rivera is Monsignor's godson, Gerald Taitano was the President of the Cathedral Parish council and John Jr. Calvo is also monsignor's boboy (Nino to his son as well) and Joshua Perez who is Monsignor's boboy and who wrote a check to himself in those amount. I question why did the previous board concluded to use Catholic Cemeteries money to support monsignor's party? These questions will not be answered.
Back to Archbishop Hon being in favor of local priest. It is upsetting for me to understand why? Let us be fair. In his Presbyteral Council, it consists of members of local priest who is bitter and is one sided and who believes that the Neocatechumenal way is a problem. I personally beg to differ. I believe we all need to coexist and learn to bring unity but unity right now is not the problem. The priests in this archdiocese are grouped and some will not even want the breathe the same air as others. These groups are: Local priests, Filippino priests, priests that are in the neocatechumenal way, capuchin priests and even local priests who hates the following groups. The priests needs to know that they are priests for the Archdiocese of agana and not for themselves. I am concerned with the way the neocatechumenal way is being treated by Archbishop Hon and some local priests. This is why there is a division. The problem is that they rather create a deeper conflict but I hope Archbishop Hon does realize that it is not only the local priests, it is all the priests that needs to reunite.
Part 2
In regards to assignments of priests, I am wondering why is there a need to reshuffle priests. I believe that priests should move every 6 years but his committee saw it fit to put some priests who has not even been a pastor or administrator for 6 years in a parish. I believe that they should move priests who have stayed longer in the parishes. Such as monsignor James, he was rector for 20 years. But I know for a fact he will not take a small assignment. Fr. Mike C. has been in Toto for more than 10 years but his parishioners will become angry if he is moved. Well guess what. I heard he will be pastor of Yigo church. So I wonder how would toto parishioners will react. Sometimes it is for the good of the church.
In conclusion, Archbishop Hon needs to reevaluate his committees and place 2 of each priest groups for the best interest of the Church. Archbishop Hon also needs to apologize to the people of guam and Archbishop Apuron for writing a statement that he is asking the Holy See to remove Archbishop Apuron as Archbishop of Agana. Why? Because his statement already implies that Archbishop Apuron is guilty. I personally believe that he is innocent of all these allegations because all of these allegations came forward by Tim and his followers. Also, keep in mind that the lawyer Dave Lujan is Monsignor's godfather. Wow! Talk about connects. Tim also used to work alongside Monsignor James as the Gift shop manager. All connected. Archbishop Hon should also investigate as to how the Archdiocese was exposed and the documents that are publish on Jungle watch. He was the leak. Monsignor James is helping in giving all the documents to Tim. Evidence are a personal emails from Fr. Adrian to Aaron Quitagua and many other personal and private letters or statements to the priest. Archbishop Hon, investigate the local priests who are at the root of all these such as Monsignor James. But, wait he's best friends with them. So No.

  1. Benavente is also a chaplain for the local FBI!

Don't they do background checks on their employees?

Is the FBI also protecting this priest? How far and how deep is Benavente's web of corruption?

Recall that this corrupt priest also heads the holy order of the equestrian knights of the tomb which has within its ranks people like attorney Rodney Jacob and judge Vernon Perez.

If the attorney General investigates Benavente there's gonna be uncovered a big web of filth and corruption. The AG needs to investigate this!!!

Behind and underneath this corrupt priest is the love for MONEY! God help the church if he's in charge of the patrimony!

    1. Did you just ask the local AG's office to investigate the FBI's selection of Benavente as their chaplain (you say they are protecting this priest)?

And you introduce the Holy Order of Equestrian Knights of the Tomb, and named persons...to what end, other than an insinuation/accusation.

Need FACTS with back up evidence/documention, people! Stop with the rumours and insinuations, PLEASE. Does nothing for this whole situation....

    2. So now you're assuming that ALL these officials are corrupt and judging them before they've even done anything but what about Jackie and land management and the AG's Ms. Finney, are they not corrupt for circumvent in the law with FOUR DEEDS? Is everyone corrupt if it goes against the NCW?

I firmly believe EVERYONE should be investigated but there has to be CAUSE to even begin any investigation. Already Monsgnor Benevente has been CLEARED by the archdiocese. Get over it already.

What about Luis Camacho, where's the investigation into him? But wait, because the NCW covered him up, we should just forget about him and what he did?

You people need to grow up already.

    3. Dear Anonymous at 9:32 am,

CCOG has been saying for a long time that they are fundraising to bring RMS to court so they can get the property back into RMS. We are just waiting for their lawsuit. Instead of complaining about the four deeds, tell CCOG to hurry up with the lawsuit and bring it to court already.

As for Luis Camancho, that argument has already been settled. The police report says "custodial interfererence." Do you have any official document saying otherwise?

    4. To anonymous 9:00 am.

The evidence are in plain view. I notice that you are a frequent visitor of the JungleNation and well, look at the evidence that they have. First hand emails from Fr. Adrian to Aaron Quitagua. I forgot to mention that Aaron Quitagua is Monsignor's godson. Another connect. Lol. Aaron who was a devoted altar boy to Fr. Paul when he was in Dededo and moved to serve at the Cathedral with monsignor. Connects again. But that is not the point. I believe that emails should be between the sender and the receiver. But in this case, it was not. It was between, Fr. Adrian, Aaron and Tim Rohr. Why does Rohr have these personal documents? Why does he have information pertaining to the Archdiocese and he is not directly involved in the diocese such as being a worker? Why does Tim Rohr not answer any of these questions of how and who did he get his information from? I bet he will not answer but he will call me all the names in the book to discredit my question.

Get over it! He's been cleared...

Well the Presbyteral Council together with Archbishop Hon sided with the presentation given by Monsignor's former council and people who were directly involved in the process of using Cemetery Funds for Monsignor's Anniversary. Well what about the transaction that took place. Archbishop Hon does not question his committee because they are bias and are not seeing the truth that he did used cemetery funds for his personal party. Look at the checks on Junglewatch. I bet it was his signature on them. Wow...

  2. Hons tactic is very smart: Assemble a group James' loyal followers to make a statement declaring him innocent. Hon takes the statement as the sure and final 'proof' of innocence and then moves to absolve James. Very intelligent on the part of Hon.

Forget about the truth. Just fabricate a statement and have the powers that be declared it as 'truth', even if it is utterly false.

The same maneuver is done in communist China. They have state-run kangaroo courts that do exactly the same process. Many people are executed on trumped-up charges.

No matter how it's said, it was, is and will be forever 'embezzlement'. We can't wipe away the fact of history.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 1:00 pm,

Yes. All of them are connected with John Toves and members of LFM. They have been seen participating and taking part in their meetings.

    2. To anonymous 1:00pm

Connections of the alleged victims to the CCOG and LFM and Junglefolks are simple. Anyone with a competent mind can put the pieces together.
Yes, Diana is right! They are connected to John Toves. Toves was on guam in 2013 to begin all these allegations against Archbishop Apuron claiming that he has knowledge of him committing a crime. Well, lets see if there is any connections to Junglewatch. Junglewatch was created by Tim Rohr who was in communication with John Toves. Tim stated on his junglewatch blog that he sat down with John Toves and Toves created a list of names. These list of names are of those who were altar boys with John Toves in Agat at the time Archbishop Apuron was a parish priest. Well, for some, they would say this is fishing.... The CCOG and LFM produced an ad in the newspaper stating that those who were abused during the time period of Archishop Apuron being a parish priest in agat. Well, connection again because already Tim and John had a list of names and maybe even persuade them to make an allegation. But they needed the ad to make it seem that these boys publicly came out on their own account but it was not. Tim Rohr knew the date, time and location of where these alleged victims will publicly accused Archbishop Apuron before anyone. What a coincidence...

    3. maybe that explains Toves why he hasn't been in the jungle for a while, they need to get a private investigator to check all this out,it looks like Hon already has the Bishop guilty, believing all the jungle trash, may all the so call victims, needs to have background checks, if they're going to destroy their own church and Bishop, four year and nothing and all this,it's God church not theirs, the Bishop is innocent!!!Tim-CCOG- LFM_ and all of you who turn against the Bishop, may God forgive you.but Karma won't

  4. Appointments of Father Adrian and Father Edivaldo can only be interpreted as Xiānggǎng chóushā translated : Hong Kong vendetta, One sent to a minuscule parish which is not able to support a pastor and the other sent away from any parish,,, Shame on you, dear Hon!

    1. Or, anon @4:12, it could be looked at another way: sent to where they could do the least damage. After all, they are two of the so-called high profile Neo priests with a lot of clout. As well, they are two of the priests that disobeyed AB Hon and did not submit a letter of resignation that was requested of ALL priests in order for him to work on his re-assignments.

      Delete
  5. Anonymous at 4:12pm: So those people aren't worth having a pastor? They aren't worth Fr. Adrian and Fr. Edivaldo's time?

Do you only want to save yourself and the people you care about and/or know?

Shame on you for thinking these people are below you and not worth having your beloved priests. You should be HAPPY THEY HAVE THEM IF THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!

Is it sad that they are leaving behind people they got to know and care for after so many years? Of course it's sad. Anyone would be sad to lose someone they considered a friend or to see their friend treated in a way they didn't appreciate, but what matters in the end? Is it not that we all get to heaven? If so, if you love your priests so much, you should be happy they are being moved because they can reach more people just as much as they've helped you.

However, if you want Fr. Arian and Fr. Edivaldo back or in another parish, then ask God. The same goes for any priest you feel should stay in a certain parish or area.

Personally, I'd rather pray for and hear of their success in their new assignment and that it helps them in their own spiritual journey!

  7. The mantra has always remained the same, "truth will reveal itself".
I wish all our local priests the best of luck because, truth will reveal itself.
In all their endeavors to bring Archbishop down and to remove the NCW certain truths have revealed themselves.

    1. An ex-criminal was overly involved at the Santa Barbara Parish. Although not on the payroll, he still held responsibilities that were too dependent on him.
    2. There were questionable spending practices at the cathedral and catholic cemeteries.
    3. Many long time donors to the catholic churches on Guam were not cheerful givers, they had many strings attached to their contributions.
    4. The rotation of parish assignments was infrequent, new posts needed to be in place.
    5. The island of Guam is a "mission diocese'. Fortunately, this mission diocese under the control of the Congregation of the Evangelization of People has not one but two seminaries contributing to the missions of the pacific and elsewhere.
    6. The NCW is valid for our church and for our times. The non-liturgical celebrations used have been approved by the proper Vatican officials. The Eucharistic Celebrations with-in the NCW contain all the norms that designate it as a valid Mass Celebration.
    7. The RMS formed Diocesan Priests after having received their degrees from the Pontifical University are assigned to parishes as pastors, administrators, rectors etc. with the Parish as their priority. They also continue their formation through their involvement in NCW communities of their own and in the assistance requested in other NCW communities.
    8. The NCW because of their explicit statutes is not available to own real property. Many contribute to the existence and mission of the NCW through their anonymous donations.
    9. With a charism as consistent and popular as the NCW many may feel threatened with their traditional catholic religion. The NCW is not obligatory to all but is surely recommended to all as a way of re-entering the church through a deeper understanding of their baptism.
    10. Despite many rumors, the NCW modeled after the Holy Family of Nazareth continues a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother, Mary. Through Mary, the communities are sustained through the Holy Eucharist and nurtured by the Word of God.

    MORE TO COME!

    1. 12:35 PM, it was good of you to itemize as you have done here. I was listening to the Arroyo show one morning on the way to work, and Tim Rhor called in... they were discussing NCW, and the things they were saying was just NOT as is in the NCW. And it occurred to me that the reason they are against the NCW is because of the wrong things they think NCW is. I got a little chuckle out of it though...

Perhaps people reading your post will learn a little bit of what the NCW is...

  8. Connect Toves with the accusers of Apuron. These accusers were all from Agat of the same age and were all neighbors with toves in Agat. They all made their accusations and they did it one after another. Professional counsellors will tell you that was highly unusual. SO the accusers are all connected to toves.

Now toves is connected with Gofigan because they lived in San Francisco when Gofigan in the 1980's and lived wth his gay love in the city by the bay. By the way, Toves still lives in the happy city of San Francisco.

Now connect with benavente - the toves connect with benavente i am told through my sources goes way back. When toves came out last year to guam it was, as he said to KUAM, to defend his 'friend' benavente.

So, connect - gofigan an ally of benavente: gofigan lliving in san francisco; toves with his gay connects, he comes to defend his friend benavente; toves and gofigan ("rainbows" for god's mercy) were seen one night strolling the cathedral grounds at night as reported by cathedral basilica staff some time last year. This all smells of rainbows.

Last one - benavente, as confessed to me by several Manila taxi and personal drivers, when frequenting the Manila 'bar' scene (at cemetery or cathedral expense?) was reported by these drivers to have been seen at several famous manila establishments that sold alcohol and other 'happy' pleasures to patrons. Whether these were gay are or straight bars is not clear. The drivers who divulged this info declined to give any further details because they all knew he was a priest. So, the private limo drivers, the patrons and workers of the bars, the hotel bus BOYS all knew that Mr James was a priest and when I interrogated them, they refused to give further details because they knew he was a priest from Guam who gave, in their words, 'good tips'.

This is the priest who will be in charge of YOUR patrimony for the church in Guam... Think about it!!!!

    What a comforting thought!

Ive heard about these Manila excursions also but this is something that they are all hush hush about and wont point the dare point the finger at each other.
In 2014, we had the vocational meeting in Manila with the NCW initiators, it was fantastic. To our surprise on our return flight home, we were boarding together with the Monsignor and his boboy, I believe a Pablo, a very young handsome gentleman. They were checked in for First Class seats, but this is normal for all the local priests and their entourage on these Manila excursions. Like what they say, what happens in Manila stays in Manila. So they thought.
The double life sucks, I hope this will get them to straighten up, even literally at the least.

    4. Dear Jokers Wild, you're all talk. We've heard you make these sorts of accusations for months and years and yet nothing comes of it. Why would that be? Perhaps because its all rumor and innuendo. Your objective appears to be to undermine and cast aspersions on priests and others, never with any evidence, and that surely can't be considered Christian.

    5. Anon @ 2:12 AM, so how does Toves connect with Ramon dePlata from Chalan Pago (not Agat) who reported that he saw 18 year old FDMS Senior Anthony Apuron sucking a 10 year old altar boy's penis (I already know that Diana said the kid was a willing participant) but where is the Toves connection here?

    8. To Anon 135pm; You have no clue dont you? They all travel first class, it happens so often that I dont need to give any evidence of it. Anyways, on that specific trip, I along with 100+ other NCW people were on that same flight. Also, the reality that they travel first class is petty, I only brought it up because not only was he there but also his boy toy.

Anon 205pm; Trust me, Im not all talk. Like Ive said I know too much for the average joe. How? Why? because for too long I surrounded myself with church people who criticized and gossiped about the NCW. that I'll admit was all rumor, because I have come to know the truth within the last 10 years of my walk in the NCW. Also, recently I heard from a former church goer of agana that Monsignor really despised Rev. Michael Crisostomo, now theyre all goody goody.

There have been many incidents that have been kept out of the light, it was actually surprising that Archbishop Anthony made public the scandal in Dededo because from what I hear there was another questionable relationship involving another local priest.
What the media portrays is that these are the "People Priests" but even these priests know that they are not loved by all. They just happen to have a circle around them that struggles with a blind radicalism.
In the same way that the NCW has helped many to come back to the church, these people who may have never had a prior relationship with their parish are now very radical to protect the charism that has helped to save their lives. So too is it for those other people who have been helped by those priests. Many didnt have a full understanding of their faith and now have been reintroduced to the parish and various ministries and in the same way are very radical in standing up for the priests whom they believe have helped them.

The unfortunate thing is that there are people who think that our priests are unstained, unblemished and this is all because of wanting good priests rather than holy priests.
