God Chose By Lottery

At the Redemptoris Mater Seminary on Guam, there are many seminarians there who come from different parts of the world.  These seminarians will tell you that they took part in a lottery to determine what country they will be sent to.  And if one doesn't believe those seminarians, the information is found on the Internet.  According to the article, it stated:  All Redemptoris Mater seminarians are selected by lottery to any of the 87 seminaries in the world and they will be ordained for that diocese.

Because it was done by lottery....by chance, it comes from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit chose these seminarians to be here. And what a beautiful way to select them.  In the Holy Bible, the 12th Apostle who took Judas Isariot place was also chosen by lottery.  So, these Seminarians were chosen to be here by God.

Acts 1:26  Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias, so he was added to the eleven apostles.

  1. Hi Diana, you see, folks at the JungleWatch have no clue about the Holy Spirit in work. They mock what you say here. But there was a time when Tim Rohr had much different opinion about the Way. Would you believe this below is an opinion from his own blog?

"Almost everyone I know in the Way is a good person, sincere, truly seeking a deeper relationship with Christ, and overall, very good people. In fact, I deem the Way to be a very good thing with many fruits. The Way does what the parishes have long failed to do: find the little and the lost and bring them in." (Tim Rohr in JungleWatch, October 16, 2013)

    1. Dear Zoltan,
I can see from that weblink you posted that that is indeed a different Tim Rohr. We don't know what happened to him since that time. It could be a number of things, but what you posted here definitely shows a very different Tim Rohr.

    2. Diana, you've said it before... It all begins with obedience. So when the Archbishop questioned the credentials of Cardinal Arinze who was speaking on behalf of the Pope, the light on the NCW and its Lay founders dimmed. How dare the Archbishop question the instructions of our Pope. This shows who our Archbishop is obedient to.

    3. Dear Anonymous,
It's interesting that you brought this up because this was going to be my next post, which I already have in draft form. At any rate, to respond to your comment, Church history will show that there have been many disagreements between bishops and popes. There is nothing wrong with disagreements. The Holy Bible shows that St. Paul and St. Barnabas argued and went their separate ways. St. Paul even rebuked St. Peter over his behavior. St. Paul felt that Peter (the leader of the Apostles) discriminated against the Gentile converts. At any rate, disagreements are fine, but not disobedience. Disobedience is not the same as disagreement. See my upcoming post on Controversy and Reconciliation, which I will be posting very soon.

  2. Came across this blog and have to admit was caught by the idea of the "winning chance coming from the Holy Spirit". Living in Australia I have been playing and checking Oz Lotto results for several years already and haven't won much yet. So then maybe I should pray more? What can you advise me?
