First of all, if you REALLY are sincere in offering your congratulations to those deacons who are now ordained priests, you would take the time to READ their names, which is in the post. One would not start out their "so-called" congratulations by saying " To, Harold, Howard, Hoover, or whatever......" So, Johnny, Joey, Jerry, or WHATEVER Toves, that is one reason why I did not publish your comment.
And finally, if you REALLY are offering your congratulations as you claimed, it is unnecessary to mention anything about recording homilies or stuttering. A person who is sincere in offering their congratulations would not act like a hypocrite.
Your comment was no different from Isaias who congratulated the RMS deacons and then offered his condolences to the Catholics of Guam. So, now you can go back to the jungle and tell how you attempted to congratulate the new priests, and how I did not publish your comment because I was fearful. The truth is..... I did not publish your comment because it was degrading, insincere, and hypocritical.

You are not very bright, Diana. You should have assistance reviewing the comments with someone more skilled at this. You have done exactly what I knew you would do - so, thank you! I've just copied and pasted your "special reply" for just me, and it will be hitting internet land. Hire some help would you please! You're killing me!
ReplyDeleteDear John,
DeleteThe moment I published this special post of you, it ALREADY hit internet land. The fact that you posted threatening comments on my blog reveals your desperation. Perhaps, the typhoon is weakening and turning into a banana storm.
Sorry, Diana, the Ordination was an exclusive NCW celebration. Hardly any Agana priests, Michael the Jucatan Master of Ceremony with Arch tellng him what to do. Neo Choir and Neo congregation. New Seminary down in old Carmelite Monastery. So, now, what? Do we have to build our own Cathdral? Divisive to the Nth degree. Sad. Hope you are full of joy.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous at 4:30 pm,
DeleteAre you saying that Father Mike Crisostomo did not show up as he said he would????
To John Toves, I will also not publish your threat against me because I like to keep my blog site clean. The fact that you had to come to my blog and make threats shows YOUR fearfulness.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Fr. Michael Crisostomo was there, WAITING for Anonymous to show up as early as 9:30 AM. How disappointing, A no show for Anonymous. Do you know what was wrong with the air conditioning? It seems like a lot of people were using the ordination booklets to fan themselves.
DeleteDear Anonymous at 6:31 pm,
DeleteIf the Anonymous poster had showed up, what exactly did Father Mike planned on doing to him?
Father Mike would not have done anything. He just likes to taunt people. Why? to see our reactions and use his expected reaction (anger) against those of the NEO.
DeleteDear Anonymous at 11:22 am,
DeleteIt is very unbecoming of a priest to taunt people and challenge them to reveal themselves. Many people know that Zoltan's job was threatened by Tim Rohr. Zoltan used his real name. Many people also know that the Archbishop's tires were slashed. And Father Mike wants us to reveal our real names?
I was the anonymous commenter who posted Fr. Mikes comment on the chasubles. Fr. Mike thinks that it is important for me to reveal myself and put a name to my words. I choose not to. My "anonymous" comment is much more real than his two-faced approach to this situation. He is perceived to be a contributor to mending this divisive archdiocese but many dont know about what he says to his circle of lay people and who knows maybe even other clergy. Mr. Rorh claimed awhile ago that Fr. Mike is not who is supplying him with "classified" info from the chancery. Well, one is led to think how did Mr. Rorh arise to this statement. There is obviously dialogue between the two. It could have been a conversation that went like this...
DeleteFr. Mike: Hey Tim, guess what? They think Im the one sending you information.
Tim: Oh, is that right?
Fr. Mike: yep, and guess what they also installed cameras at every corner of the chancery offices.
Tim: Interesting.
Fr. Mike: yes it is
Tim: dont worry, I didnt hear this from you.
Well, the story goes on and on. One step forward, 5 Steps backwards.
I hate to call out a Fr. Mike on this flaw, but I wish he would take it charitably rather than as a threat.
It is funny how I comment on his obvious sarcasm on the cathedrals chasuble issue and they decide to blow it up and totally out of proportion. Did anyone else see an issue with his sarcasm? I guess I am another dumb NEONUT! lol.
Dear Anonymous at 4:13 pm,
DeleteCalling someone a "coward" simply because they choose not to reveal his/her real name also shows that there is no intention of trying to reconcile with a person. It is unfortunate that Father Mike chose to be demeaning and confrontational rather than making some sort of attempt to either reconcile with the anonymous poster. All Father Mike had to do was explain what he meant by his statement regarding the chausbles.
I was at the Cathedral for the ordination. The Cathedral was packed. It was just amazing. Participation of the people was really unique. Everything was so well organized. And joy was on everyone's face. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThose who did not come... they lost something beautiful
Sorry, I attended but only saw the illicit mass celebration ordination of what you describe as "something beautiful". Well, the arch had an extra kick in his step for promoting 3 newly ESL based priests so I am just wondering how this will turn out. I guess the announcement of their assignments will be announced after the archbishop returns from the trip for their first mass celebration at their home land.
DeleteHow interesting. I guess the money needed for the Basilica;s power bill will be going to airline tickets. Gosh, Chancery Office may want to rethink the arch's budget. Mr. Dominic Kim, aren't you in charge of making sure the money to be spent is spent with some level of competency and business shrewdness?
Dear Anonymous at 6:26 pm,
DeleteWhat was illicit about it when it was a regular ordination? Also, I am not Dominic Kim.
Pope: You make the Church 'sick' if you don't support your bishop
ReplyDeleteDuring his weekly general audience on Wednesday Pope Francis said that a Church which does not foster communion with the bishop is unhealthy. In his remarks to the crowds gathered in Saint Peter's Square on Nov. 5, the Pope called on Christian communities to “nurture a sincere and profound communion” with the bishop, “starting with the priests and deacons. “There is no healthy Church if the faithful priests, deacons are not united around their bishop,” he said. “This Church not united around their bishop is a sick Church.” “It is in the Bishop that the relationship of each Church with the Apostles is visible and with all the other communities,” he said, “united with their bishops and the Pope in the One Church of the Lord Jesus, that is our Holy Mother the Hierarchical Church.”
Dear Anonymous at 10:24 pm,
DeleteUnfortunately, it is the rebellious and disobedient priests who thinks that it is the Archbishop who should be in communion with them.
Wow!...I always thought it should be BOTH in communion. It is a marriage after all, isn't it? Why would one not give all to the other? I'm confused.
DeleteAnonymousNovember 9, 2014 at 6:28 PM
DeletePRIDE anonymous.....the root of all evil
Dear Anonymous at 6:28 pm.
DeleteThere is a hierarchy in the Catholic Church. All of us should be in communion with the Pope. We should not be telling the Pope to be in communion with us. He is the Vicar of Christ. In the same way, Pope Francis tells the priests to be in communion with their bishop, who is their leader.
Priests and deacons vow respect and obedience to the bishop, not the other way around! The rebels don't understand this concept.
DeleteHere you go again Diana, the priest, you are not after Communion but follow the ruling class (the archbishop and his minions). How can you expect the priest or the faithful of Guam to follow the archbishop when there is no equality in treatment that exist in the diocese? You do not have to study the Code of Canon Law to discover what kind of an inferior being a lay person or a non neo priest is in the eyes of the ecclesiastical ruling class here.
ReplyDeleteThat this inferiority is God's idea must surely strike us as blasphemous.
There is no communion because hierarchy is antithetical and and incompatible with it.
And before you say anything , hierarchy is a historical product, a social construction, a politically pragmatic structure of human invention. Vatican II made a step transcending the divisiveness that existed in the church by introducing that the Church is first People of God but conservative forces mad their way back in the 1983 Code of Canon Law.
My question is the Church people of God first or hierarchy?
Anonymous 11:07
ReplyDeleteIt does not mean you cannot disagree with how policies are interpreted and executed.
Remember lest you forget, hierarchy is a historical product, a social construction, a politically pragmatic structure of human invention.
Isaias.....you present several concepts of hierarchy that interesting jumps from the spiritual to the one of man. It was Jesus who established Peter as the first shepherd and consequently Peter's successors. You appear to have issues with the spiritual authority that established the lineage of Popes.....as with other religious denominations that do not recognize or accept what is clearly proclaimed in the Bible. I believe that you have already justified in your mind not to accept what is spiritual or contrary to your interpretations. I apologize Isaias....I also don't believe you are Catholic. Not necessary bad by the way.
DeleteWho really is John "Typhoon" Toves? Is it true that he is a proponent of "gay marriage"? How can Mr. Rohr, the 'champion of traditional catholic orthodoxy', the 'great apologist of Guam', the great 'defender of the magisterium', use this character to fight his case?
ReplyDeleteA typhoon is similar to politics in this case because 'it makes for strange bed-fellows'. No pun intended.
According to Tim, through promises of John, there are more revealing pics and experiences to be revealed by this individual. But they dont realize that this is only gonna open a can of worms about the extra curriculum activities that our local seminarians were taking part in the bay area in those days. I hope Tim realizes this. I was informed that before one of our priests was ordained, his home in the bay area was host to many weekend parties. Hopefully Johnny realizes that the skeletons will all come out. His threats may be directed to Fr Adrian but it is possible that this may affect others too. It was this info that I received from an openly gay friend of mine that made fully support the idea of our local redemptoris mater seminary. I really dont hold any judgments on these priests but I think Johnny should tread carefully if he doesn't want to hurt too many people.
