In his book entitled Kerygma: In the Shantytown with the Poor, Kiko wrote:
I had found myself in front of a human suffering that was unheard of, a sort of Auschwitz. They say that after Auschwitz you cannot believe in God any longer.....Well, despite this I found a surprising answer in this environment. I found myself confronted with the mystery of Christ crucified. I understood that there is a presence of Christ in those who suffer, especially in the suffering of the innocents. There are people who are innocent and who are carrying the sins of the others, that horrible sin of the alcoholic, of one who hits his mother, of a retarded son, of incest, etc. By means of this suffering, those people are bringing salvation to the world with Christ.
There is a true real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, but I thought that also the suffering of those innocent people was a real presence of Christ. That impressed me so much that when I had to do the military service in Africa, I was already very restless.........This was so strong in me that I left everything and went to live amongst the poor. The first community of the Neocatechumenal Way was born in the slums of Madrid. Kiko Arguello and Carmen Hernandez were the founders of the Way. The changes and effects that the NCW brought to the gypsies living in the slums impressed the Archbishop of Madrid that he asked Kiko to bring the NCW into the parishes of Madrid. And so began the journey of the NCW. Kiko had no idea that this journey would lead him to Israel to build the "Domus Galilaeae" or to Rome where the first Redemptoris Mater Seminary would be instituted. The Domus Galilaeae and the Redemptoris Mater Seminary became two of the many fruits of the Neocatechumenal Way. See the video below to learn more about the birth of the Neocatechumenal Way.
A man who gave up everything to live with the poor and sleep with dogs to keep warm at night doesn't sound like a man looking for power as Tim Rohr paint him to be. The video has photos of Kiko living in a shack. There's the proof of what Kiko said.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane for exposing Tim's lies about Kiko and the NCW. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteWhat lies did Tim say?
DeleteDear Anonymous at 7:51 am,
DeleteIn his blog, Tim claimed that the NCW was obtaining a permit to build seminaries at a time when the Church was facing a dire priest shortage. By this, Tim implied that the NCW only cared about obtaining power through the number of priestly ordinations.
But these are the FACTS: There was a substantial reduction of priests since the 1960s. And where was Kiko Arguello in the 1960s? Well, he was certainly not getting any permit to build a seminary. In the 1960s when there was a decline of priests, Kiko was living in the slums of Madrid with the poor. The NCW was born in 1964. The FIRST Redemptoris Mater Seminary was established in 1988 in Rome, about 24 years after the NCW was born.
What lies wake up!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone on this island refers to us as Neos and recently Tim stated he was going to refer to us as "Kikos" from now on.Which is funny because I've seen Tim use that term for us a few times in the past.If you check out the other anti neo propaganda blogs he gave links to.Most of them refer to us as "Kikos",which means Timmy here is not only making up lies but he's stealing some of those lies from other sources.I guess with losing all his credibility he can't think of believable enough stuff anymore. But as he tries to cause insult to injury more and more.He only ends up exposing himself.
ReplyDeletePretty sad when Tim resorts to name calling. 'Neos', 'Kikos'. Calls to mind the grade school rhyme 'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me'.
DeleteI wonder how he feels to be called a molester the worst part is that it's coming from his family I wouldn't insult people I'll be hiding in the hole
DeleteDear Anonymous at 11:45 pm,
DeleteIn his eyes, Tim feels that he is the victim of the NCW. He claimed that the NCW was responsible for the breakup of his marriage and loss of his family. Tim cannot face the reality that the NCW had nothing to do with his marriage. His wife left him for a reason, and she named those reasons publicly to the media.
The idea of the seminaries started after the first world youth day. In 1985, men from the communities where invited to Rome for the first encounter. I remember that very well as my catechist told me to go, but with Visa and passport issues then, I was not able to go. It was only after 3 years that the first 10 seminaries where born.
ReplyDeleteDiana the jungle is now already talking about father John being back on island
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous at 6:56 am,
DeleteSo what? They are even bad-mouthing Father Jeff San Nicholas. They threw their own under the bus.

ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous at 7:19 am,
DeleteThank you for the article. I will put it in a separate post.
Kiko what a smart man. He get people to leave their local parish and become members of the NCW. They stop donating to their local parish. They give large donation to the NCW but not to their local parish. Kiko gives big bucks to bishops and pastors to get his group accepted in parishes. If 10% become NCW then the parish loses 10% of the normal Sunday collection. At the NCW Mass they separate themselves from the rest of the Catholic Church and they become a church within the Church. Mass become a meal and less of adoration of Jesus. They don't go to daily Mass. The Easter Vigil parish mass is not for them. The WAY has their own Easter Vigil Mass without the other people of the parish. The Eucharist is a sign of unity. The NCW their Mass is done on a table and not the altar. It is done in a hall and not the main church. In the end they are not part of the Universal Church because like cancel the body thinks it is part of the body and does not recognize it really is going more harm. It is division. How many want to be a Franciscan Priest or a Carmelite or a diocesan Priest under the local Bishop. No they want to be a NCW priests under the leadership of the leaders of the WAY. They don't go to confession to a priest. They confess their sins to their group. I believe they don't like to pray the Rosary like Protestants. They don't like to spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament. The leaders would like to forget about Jesus and his death on the cross and think more about the NCW community having a comunal meal without the other members of their local parish. They become divided from the whole church. They are a separate church trying to get the real Catholics to leave the whole church and bring their money to the NCW. Kike died with a lot of money. He lived in luxury estates. Kiko hand millions of dollars diverted from the normal Sunday collects to his groups and from them after buying some flowers and wine, etc. the leftover money is sent to the NCW headquarters. The strange Mass with drums was to keep you from thinking about the Sunday collection that should have went to the local parish. How can steal the collection money at your church and get away with it for many years. Kiko came up with the WAY way and it still works.
