According to Vatican News, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 9:34 a.m. He was 95 years old. He was a great supporter of the Neocatechumenal Way. In fact, he was the one who introduced the Neocatechumenal Way into Germany when he was Cardinal Ratzinger.
