Letter From Bishop Ballin

The following is a letter from Bishop Ballin.  Father Luis Camacho has been exonerated by the Holy See of any sexual misconduct.  The sexual misconduct were rumors started in the jungle and by Deacon Steve Martinez.  Many thanks to Bishop Ballen for bringing the matter to the Vatican and having the Vatican resolve the issue.

Statutes Of Limitations

The statutes of limitations establishes time limits on reporting the crime.  It exists so prosecution can proceed while memories are fresh and evidences and witnesses are still available.  The statutes of limitations usually start on the date the crime was committed and places responsibility on the victim for reporting the crime.  The victim is made aware that the more time elapses, the more difficult to prosecute any perpetrator in a court of law.

Three alleged victims have accused Archbishop Apuron of sexually molesting them.  One of them accused him of sexually molesting her son.  All of them support lifting the statutes of limitations on sexual abuse.  And the jungle is misleading them into thinking that they can bring a criminal lawsuit against Archbishop Apuron once Bill 326-33 is passed into law.  According to the jungle:
I told you not to ask Rome for help. Let's do this ourselves. Today's public hearing was the first step. We're going to pass this bill and get it signed into law and then we are going to clean house. Anyone dirty better run now.
Even if passed into law, one cannot press charges against Archbishop Apuron using the new law.  According to a legal website:
States cannot retroactively change the rules to allow prosecution of crimes that are already barred by an existing statute of limitations. For example, assume that Will sexually molests a teenager named Joe. Joe doesn’t report what happened for many years. By the time he tells the police about the molestation, the statute of limitations has expired. Although the legislature can enact a new law that would allow the state more time to prosecute offenders, that new law won't apply retroactively to Will's case. (Stogner v. California, U.S. Sup. Ct. 2003.)
You can read the U.S. Supreme court case of Stogner v. California here.  This is probably what B.J. Cruz meant when he said that it may be unconstitutional in that it goes against the ex post facto law.  The new law cannot change the rules to allow prosecution of crimes that have already been barred by an existing statute of limitations.

All four alleged victims accuse Archbishop Apuron of sexual molestation about 40 years ago.  The statutes of limitations have already expired; therefore, even if Bill 326-33 is passed, it cannot apply to their allegations.  However, it does not prevent Archbishop Apuron from filing a defamation lawsuit and probably even charge them with criminal conspiracy if the case warrants it.

Making Mountains From Molehills

First, some good news.....Father Luis Camacho has been exonerated by the Holy See.  Many thanks to Bishop Ballin who brought the matter to the Vatican.  As many of you already know, Father Luis Camacho was arrested for custodial interference.  The allegation of sexual misconduct never came from the police.  It came directly from the jungle.  This accusation has now been declared unfounded and Father Luis has been exonerated from any allegation of sexual misconduct.  However, the jungle is not happy about Father Luis' exoneration.  Rather, they are complaining and even spreading the rumor that Rome is not to be trusted.  According to Tim Rohr:
NOW do you see why I said STOP asking Rome for help?
Yet, he forgot that he was the one who told his troops to make a noise loud enough to get Rome's attention in the first place.  Now that Rome has sent an Apostolic Administrator, they do not want Rome's help????  The jungle is even saying negative things about the Vatican.  If one cannot trust or turn to the Vatican for help, then who is one supposed to turn to?

Tim Rohr is even making a mountain out of a small thing regarding the error of Mr. Sondia's name in the press release.  He is even calling the error a "crime".  According to the jungle:
The "correction" refers to the original media statement dated June 26. But the correction itself is dated June 26. It appears there is an attempt to make this look like a "clerical error" that they caught right away.
However, the email header for the correction says it was sent out today, June 27, at 1:23PM:
Almost 12 hours after I posted about the error this morning:
The COVER UP becomes the Crime!
Seriously Archbishop Hon, we've endured years of people dressed like you lying to us. We don't want to believe you are lying to us, so we are just believing that these lies are coming from the same people who have always lied to us and you are being used by them the way they used Apuron.
And all this....... because of an error in a person's name?  Making an error of the person's name is now considered a "crime"?  How easy it is for Tim to call others a liar and forget his own false statements.  According to the jungle:
The Diana's like to say that I have been trying to remove Apuron for 3 years. Au contraire. I have never called for his resignation. Ever since I learned of his threat to Fr. Paul to make him "suffer a more arduous and painful closure to his assignment," I've had one goal: to make Apuron suffer the same. I don't want him to retire or resign. I want him to stay in place and slowly roast in the fire of the hell he created. Come on back Tony. It's just beginning. Courage,
As anyone can see, Tim Rohr claimed that he has NEVER called the Archbishop's resignation.  This is a FALSE statement made by Tim Rohr.   According to KUAM news dated August 5, 2014:
Guam - In Tumon, local blogger Tim Rohr spoke before island Rotarians. Rohr writes Jungle Watch, a blog that covers issues involving the island's Catholic community. Even prior to the removal of Monsignor James Benavente Rohr has been highly critical of Archbishop Anthony Apuron for his controversial removal of Father Paul Gofigan last year from the Santa Barbara Church.

Rohr said, "My only hope is that the archbishop for his own health resigns ASAP."
You can even hear it from the mouth of Tim Rohr in Youtube:

A Breath Of Fresh Air

Today, a son of one of the seminarians, Edmond Philip Ilg, in the Redemptoris Mater Seminary was ordained in Washington D.C.   Father and son are called to the priesthood.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call to priesthood is all in the family for Deacon Philip Ilg

CS PHOTO BY JACLYN LIPPELMANN Philip Ilg will be one of eight new priests ordained by Cardinal Wuerl for the Archdiocese of Washington on June 25.When Deacon Philip Ilg is ordained as priest of the Archdiocese of Washington on June 25, among the family and friends who will gather for the happy event will be a fellow seminarian.

This seminarian who will be at the Mass shares with Deacon Ilg not only a desire to become a priest, but also a last name. Edmond Ilg, who is preparing for his own priestly ordination, is the father of Deacon Ilg.

Both future priests are members of the Neocatechumenal Way. Founded in Spain in 1964, the Neocatechumenal Way is a Catholic movement dedicated to adult and family faith formation. An estimated 1.5 million Catholics belong to the Way in about 40,000 parish-based groups worldwide. The Neocatechumenal Way has also established more than 70 Redemptoris Mater diocesan mission seminaries around the world, including one in the Archdiocese of Washington.

The Ilg family joined the Way – as it is familiarly called – after Deacon Ilg’s mother, Constance, lost a son, named Joseph, at birth. Edmond and Connie joined in 1996, and young Philip joined three years later.

“Their (the Way’s) catechesis helped my parents in a difficult time,” Deacon Ilg said.

Deacon Ilg, who will be just 11 days shy of his 30th birthday when he is ordained, said he first thought about becoming a priest when he was 8 years old.

“I remember I was setting the altar one day as an altar boy and I had this moment where I thought I would be doing that for the rest of my life,” he said. “That feeling soon went away, but it really happened.”

During the 2002 World Youth Day in Toronto, “that feeling” returned.

“I would call it a ‘key moment’ when I got in touch with the mercy of God,” he said of his World Youth Day experience. “It was something that changed my life, and I got more involved in the Church after that.”

“That was an important point in my life where I felt the love of God at a liturgy of Penance,” he said. “After that I just kept discovering the Church as a life-giving place of refuge and grew deeper in the faith.”

He said that after World Youth Day, “I started thinking about (the priesthood), and I asked God for a sign.”

The sign came during a retreat in Asbury Park, a seaside resort in New Jersey. Deacon Ilg said he was sitting on the beach alone when “a priest came walking toward me … he said, ‘Keep your ears open – maybe God is calling you.’ ”

Although Deacon Ilg went to Catholic school in his native New Jersey, was an altar server and his parents were active in their parish, his mother was not too receptive to the idea of her only son becoming a priest.

He said his mother initially disapproved of his vocation because, as her only surviving son, she had hoped one day to become a grandmother.

Five years ago, Deacon Ilg’s mother died from cancer. “When she was dying, she came to terms with me becoming a priest,” he said. “She told me, ‘I want you to do what God is calling you to do.’”

Deacon Ilg called his late mother’s initial reluctance to his becoming a priest “a fire that my vocation went through.”
After Connie’s death, Deacon Ilg’s father discerned his own priestly vocation and later entered a Neocathecumenal Way Redemptoris Mater seminary in Guam. “He’s very happy,” Deacon Ilg said of his father’s own seminary studies.
After his ordination, Deacon Ilg said his role as a priest will be “to be in touch with the people.”

“I want to be among the people and share my experience of faith with them and teach them how to experience the love of God,” he said. As a priest, he realizes that “a person’s soul is put in my hands, and one day I will have to answer for that.”
He added that “doing the work of the Lord, the mission of the Lord, gives me peace. The Lord called me to this, and He will give me peace.”

“I am happy,” Deacon Ilg said of his impending ordination. “At the end of the day, this is really the Lord’s work and His mission, and He will bring it to a good conclusion.”

Deacon Ilg will celebrate his first Mass as a priest on June 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Kensington.

More Fairy Tales from The Jungle

An anonymous commenter stated the following:

Diana, Tim wrote his fourth episode of Orchestrated. In it, he said he was in contact with Denton on August, 2015, although he didn't specify the exact date.

In the fourth part, Tim Rohr claimed that he was in contact with Walter Denton AFTER Mae Ada's call-in to the Patti Arroyo talk show in August 19, 2015. Although he did not say the exact date he came into contact with Denton, his story is still questionable.  It is no secret that Tim Rohr wanted Archbishop Apuron removed since 2014.

When John Toves came out with his allegations in November, 2014, he was unsuccessful in removing the Archbishop.  Tim Rohr and John Toves believed that the only way to remove him would be when someone claiming to be the "victim" would come forward.  Both Tim Rohr and John Toves already had an "alleged victim" BEFORE Mae Ada called in on August 19, 2015.

Mae Ada was used only to plant the idea into people's heads that there were victims out there who were molested by Archbishop Apuron.  Mae Ada's call-in was used as an alibi so people would not suspect that Tim was very much involved with the sexual allegations. which is contrary to what he claimed.  Tim Rohr and John Toves already had an "alleged victim" since January, 2015.  That person would be Walter Denton, a very close friend of John Toves and who was named Victim #1 by Tim Rohr.  The evidence is all found in Tim's Junglewatch blog.  See the screen shot below, which can be found here.

According to the screen shot above (note the title, date and time of the post and the bold is mine):

John C. Ada Toves "Typhoon"May 4, 2015 at 8:07 PM

Anon 6:08, here is an update. What you heard on the The Buzz was information on a "Victim #2" who had been molested by Archbishop Apuron. His island attorney contacted me with the information and allowed me to release some brief details in hopes of bringing another victim forward. I had two subsequent conversations and two emails from the attorney. The timeline was given to me. I have my phone records and emails for documentation. I have not received further communication as of yet.

Managing Editor from EWTN who I've been in contact with since January (he called me) is working to break the story. He asked if I had a cannon lawyer working on it

I consulted with a cannon lawyer early April who is willing to go through Rome once more but from a different angle. I am beginning my fundraising for his retainer so he can file. I advised EWTN of the lawyer.

I've called the Archbishop prior to every move but unfortunately always seem to get only voicemail. I mentioned that I had thoughts about the dance and other clips but I would like to hear good faith on his part. I'll be happy to provide call logs for this as well.

I've tweeted and Facebooked weekly to the island since January. I guess I need to get a life, - but I know I have my God.

So, Anon 6:08, I intend to remain a thorn in his side. I do finish what I start. That is one of the few things I have in common with Tim who has my deepest gratitude and respect. I am happy to post any update here.

It is already beyond what any individual can do, my friend. It really is now, - What will we ALL do?

Anyone may contact me at johncharlestoves@gmail.com

John Toves was in contact with this person since January, 2015.  In the radio talk show, Walter Denton stated that he was in Guam attending a funeral on January, 2015.  He claimed he told a small group of people that he was molested by Archbishop Apuron.  However, the only person who came out to state that she heard a gentleman spoke of being sexually molested by the Archbishop was Mae Ada, a member of the Laity Forward Movement (an organization whose goal is to remove Archbishop Apuron).  In January, 2015 while he was here on Guam, Denton contacted an attorney and told him about his molestation.  At the same time, John Toves was also in contact with an attorney who was giving him information about his client.  An attorney giving out information about his client is also very suspicious.  Why?  Because John Toves is not an attorney nor a counselor for sexually abused victims.

According to John Toves, he stated: "I consulted with a cannon lawyer early April who is willing to go through Rome once more but from a different angle."  On the radio talk show with Patti Arroyo, Tim Rohr ALSO admitted that they had to get Denton's letter to a different angle in Rome because he suspected that the Congregation of Evangelization is filled with Kiko-supporters.  Listen to the interview:  http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9682

Responding To Devil's Advocate

A poster named Devil's Advocate gave the following comment, which can be found here:

Devil's AdvocateJune 20, 2016 at 9:47 PM
What exactly is The Truth? Proving EITHER innocence or guilt? Meaning you are right and Tim is wrong or you are wrong and Tim is right? You have to choose according to both of your standards. So it seems that neither of you can compromise because both of you want to prove the other wrong.
Question:
Does guilt and innocence even matter? Why not just apologize? Wouldn't that be the most peaceful solution? The alleged victims don't need to go to court they just want an apology. So why not apologize and say I'm sorry for the wrong that was done to you, whether it is true or not? If it is going to heal them, then why not? I mean why care what people are going to say or think about it? The political ramifications? Well, who cares about political power. Is it the fear of losing power, position, and reputation that keeps you fighting to prove guilt or innocence? Why fight at all?

The claim is fighting for the church right? But fighting against whom? The devil that sows division and confusion? Well then show me where the division and confusion are because if anything BOTH blogs are causing division and confusion because while you claim to both be on the side of the church you are choosing to force the church to believe EITHER the Archbishop is guilty or he's innocent.
What can you agree on in this civil war? Why don't we start from there?

This is my response:

Dear Devil's Advocate,

You asked many questions, which makes it difficult to determine where to start.  So, I will start with your second paragraph under "Question".

Does guilt and innocence even matter? Why not just apologize? Wouldn't that be the most peaceful solution?

It is very easy to dismiss guilt and innocence when you are not the one on trial. I have a cousin who was accused of rape.  In the end, they found him innocent. It was a paternity test that proved his innocence.  To him, his innocence mattered because it was his life, his character, and reputation.  You probably do not think those things matter to you, but you may think differently if you were the one accused of a crime you did not commit.

What can you agree on in this civil war? Why don't we start from there?

I think the ownership of the RMS property would be an easy start.  Archbishop Hon can look into it and then determine who owns the property.   And when he announces that the RMS property belongs to the Archdiocese of Agana, how do you think the other side will respond???

Sexual Allegation Conspiracy

Roy Quintanilla came out on May 17, 2016, accusing Archbishop Apuron of sexually molesting him.  Shortly thereafter on May 31st, Doris Concepcion also came on the air claiming that her son Joseph Quinata told her on his deathbed that he was sexually molested by Archbishop Apuron.  The third person to appear was Walter Denton, who claimed that the Archbishop raped him. Recently, we had Roland Sondia making his appearance on June 15th

In an interview with Travis Coffman dated May 17, 2016 (the same day Roy Quintanilla made his allegation), Tim Rohr explained that the call-in by Mae Ada in the Patti Arroyo talk show last year started it all. It prompted many alleged victims to call in, which then motivated him to spend countless hours and hard work searching for these alleged victims.  http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9357  “
Mae Ada, a member of the Laity Forward Movement, called in the Patti Arroyo talk show on August 19, 2015 and said that she met a gentleman at a funeral who claimed he was sexually molested by Archbishop Apuron.    http://pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/item/5225-tim-rohr-with-patti-arroyo  Tim Rohr also wrote about Mae Ada’s call in his Junglewatch blog on the same day.  The post was about Mae’s phone call, but the TITLE of his post was “The Agat boy(s)”. http://www.junglewatch.info/2015/08/the-agat-boys.htm   (See the screen shot below.)
Now, note the DATE AND TIME of Tim’s comment under the OP (the bold is mine):

    1. Tim Rohr August 19, 2015 at 5:40 PM
    2. To clarify, there is no accusation against Fr. Jack. The reference to his name appears to be related to the fact that the alleged victims may have confided in Fr. Jack at the time since he was Apuron's assistant when he was in Agat.
The following is a screen shot taken from Tim's Junglewatch blog:

On the SAME day as Mae Ada’s call-in, Tim wrote: "the FACT that alleged victims (plural) may have confided in Father Jack....".  Today, we know that two of the alleged victims, Roy Quintanilla and Walter Denton, both stated that they confided in Father Jack about the sexual abuse.  We also know that all the "alleged victims" came from Agat.  The evidence showed that Tim already had the "Agat boys" in position ready to do his bidding long before Mae Ada phoned the radio station.  On the radio with Patty Arroyo, Tim Rohr feigned a “surprise” and "shock" demeanor when Mae Ada called in, but the comment on his blog showed a planned conspiracy to deliberately remove the Archbishop.

So, why did Tim make a false statement to Travis Coffman and go through such great lengths to stage this whole affair?  Perhaps because there were no victims who came forward.  Even after John Toves came on the scene claiming that his cousin (whom he had never spoken to) was sexually molested by Archbishop Apuron (an allegation he never heard his cousin say), his cousin never came forward.  No victim came forward, but Tim needed "victims" in order to remove the Archbishop.  Therefore, since no victims came forward, "alleged victims" were sought out.

Tim Rohr already had these "alleged victims" lined up long before Mae Ada called the radio station. All he needed was to convince people that there were "victims" out there who were molested by Archbishop Apuron.  Once people heard Mae Ada’s story on the radio, he has planted the seed in people's minds that these "alleged victims existed.

John Toves and Walter Denton were next door neighbors in Agat. They grew up together and graduated from the same FDMS class.  Walter Denton was labeled Victim #1 by Tim Rohr despite that Roy Quintanilla made the first allegation.  On a radio talk show with Jesse Lujan, Denton said that he sent a letter to Archbishop Krebs on August, 2015. Tim Rohr, on the other hand, said that he only did a follow-up on Denton’s letter. http://www.junglewatch.info/search?q=Go+to+hell%2C+Diana
However, in a recent interview with Jesse Lujan, Tim Rohr claimed that he did not know Roy Quintanilla or Walter Denton but was working with two other alleged victims who have not yet come forward.  He claimed that he did not seek out Quintanilla and Denton nor did they sought him out.  He also said that he did not aim for any sexual abuse stuff until it came out in the radio (which would be August 19, 2015). The interview of Tim Rohr with Jesse Lujan is in the following weblinks:

Contrary to Tim's statements, he aimed and focused on the sexual allegations because his goal was to remove Archbishop Apuron.  He was very much involved with Walter Denton’s letter to the Vatican just as he claimed in his interview with Patti Arroyo on June 10th..   http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9682   In fact, he knew what was in Denton’s letter.  Was the letter really written by Walter Denton?  In his blog, Tim Rohr wrote the year “1977” and “40 years” as far back as October 2015.  See the screen shot below:

Then on January 22, 2016, he named a specific date: April 15, 1977.  See the screen shot below taken from his blog:

On February, 2016, he once again named "April 15, 1977."

On June 7th, Walter Denton came out, accusing Archbishop Apuron of raping him.  He had a letter prepared.  His letter stated (the bold is mine):
Fast forward to Friday April 15, 1977 on or about 5:30 pm. Father Anthony Apuron (ARCHBISHOP) was to give the Friday evening service. I was on the schedule to assist Father Anthony Apuron during Mass. After Mass, Father Tony asked me to stay at the Rectory on Saturday evening. I told Father Anthony  I had to ask my Dad.  My Dad told me I could.
The full letter can be found in the Junglewatch blog:  http://www.junglewatch.info/2016/06/altar-boy-sodomized-by-father-apuron.html#more
Contrary to what Tim Rohr stated in the Jesse Lujan show, he was very much involved with both Quintanilla and Denton.  He had these "alleged victims" already lined up for almost a year, and they were simply waiting for Rohr to give them the signal to go public..  The day before Roland Sondia came out, Rohr told his readers in his blog to remember June 15th at 10:00 a.m. That was the date and time Roland Sondia came out.  A similar thing was done with the rest of the alleged victims.

In the Patti Arroyo talk show, Tim stated that Walter Denton was Victim #1 and Roy Quintanilla was Victim #3.  At that time, he also said that Victim #2 did not come out yet.  For someone who claimed that he had no involvement with Quintanilla and Denton in the Jesse Lujan talk show, he knew who was Victim #1, #2, and so on.  In the interview below, Tim Rohr admitted that he did not want Walter to go forward in public first, and that Roy was willing to go first.

 http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9682
So, why did Tim Rohr develop the sexual abuse ads with CCOG paying thousands of dollars for those ads, knowing that he already had these so-called "alleged victims" lined up just waiting for him to give the signal to appear in public?  Because he wanted people to think that it was the ads that brought them out otherwise it may look suspicious......just as it would look suspicious if people knew that Rohr already had the "Agat boys" lined up before Mae Ada came on the air. If people knew the truth, they would know they were not alleged victims at all, but accuse them of being false witnesses.  The goal was to remove Archbishop Apuron.  And all the "alleged victims" who came forward said to remove Archbshop Apuron.  That was the main restitution they requested.

There were many inconsistencies in Tim's stories and interviews on the radio talk shows.  For example, on May 17th with Travis Coffman, Tim said that Roy Quintanilla got on a plane after May 13th, came to Guam and then publicly accused Apuron of sexually molesting him just 3 days later.  Then on May 19th with Phil Leon Guerrero, Tim said that he had Roy brought over to Guam from Hawaii a month ago.  A man who tells too many inconsistencies in his stories is a man who has something to hide.

Vatican Said NCW Is Fine

I was listening to the Travis Coffman Show yesterday with Tim Rohr on the air. And this morning, I listened in on the radio today. Tim spoke about the Vatican delegation that was here on January 2015.  They include Archbishop Hon, Archbishop Krebs, and Father Ted.  The interview with Travis Coffman and Patti Arroyo is in the following weblinks below.  In both interviews, Tim admitted that the Vatican delegation told him that the Neocatechumenal Way is fine:

http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9784

http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/pnc-k57-interviews/9791

So, here it is.........the Vatican delegation in January, 2015 said the Neocatechumenal Way is fine.  The fact that you or Tim disagree with the Vatican delegation is not our problem.   Therefore, all discussions about the Neocatechumenal being illicit and not Catholic will no longer be entertained.  Rome has already spoken through the Vatican delegation in January, 2015.

Power Struggle

An anonymous person made the following comment, which can be found here.

It is very strange that Rohr announced in the jungle that they, the lay people of Guam, have a duty to force Vatican to act. How is this so?

Now, the jungle, the CCOG and the LFM all feel they have the duty to drive Vatican officials and the Curia into action on Guam. Great! The grand design of these rebellious church groups:

1. overriding whatever Vatican or Archbishop Hon is trying to do,
2. taking control of the events and
3. forcing a decision favorable to them.

It is truly about power and control! About who is in control of the Catholic Church at the highest level in Rome.

Local church groups of Guam are wrestling out power from the hands of Vatican and its representatives. They are blackmailing top Catholic Church leaders by producing scandal after scandal, an incessant campaign of alleged sexual abuses. They are not shy to parade a stream of alleged sexual abuse victims in the local media day after day.

Is this decent? Is this admissible? Is this the impression Vatican allows to be projected into the world about church affairs? Well, absolutely not!

Guam became like an experimental lab for anti-Catholic activities. SNAP and its shameless allies try to find a venomous poison that could instantly kill the church. If the adversaries of church unity and peace prevail, then their victory will send a loud message to every part of the world. The message will be this: the Catholic Church and Vatican can be pounded into submission by clever covert tactics. No church official will be safe anymore as the gates of made-up and concocted sexual abuse charges will be opened and the whole church will be inundated with scandals.

It is not to be taken lightly, folks. If the adversaries of church leadership are victorious here on Guam, then the enemies of the Catholic Church will find a wide avenue of opportunities everywhere on the earth to strike and cause more damage to everything we know as Catholic.

This is why we turn to Archbishop Hon and to Vatican with open arms and high hopes. We pray that they do not allow the adversaries of the One Holy Catholic Mother Church to prevail.

The person who made this observation is correct.  According to KUAM news, Archbishop Hon has rescinded the decrees passed by Archbishop Apuron in order to promote reconciliation and communion with all Catholics especially those who are against the decrees.  He will soon learn this coming Sunday that it really does not matter whether he rescinded the decrees or not.  According to the jungle, CCOG and LFM will continue their protests at the doorsteps of the Cathedral this coming Sunday. And in response to Archbishop Hon's removal of the decree, Tim Rohr, wrote:
Also, while I suggested this in my version of today's decree, many of us find it ABSOLUTELY SCANDALOUS that Archbishop Hon spent seven days "consulting and reflecting" on the blatant abuse of power by Apuron and his cronies at the 11th hour of their Gotterdamerung. In stating so, Hon gives credence to the what should have been absolutely and immediately discredited.
I hate to think that it was my letter to the pope that actually motivated the new Apostolic Administrator to take what appears to be a grudging action and rescind what never should have seen the light of day in the first place. Unfortunately it appears to be so.
SMH.
As anyone can see that even with the decree rescinded, Tim Rohr expressed his ingratitude.  In fact, he found it insulting that it took Archbishop Hon seven days to reflect on it.  This was the same problem that Archbishop Apuron faced.  No matter what he did, positive or negative, he was condemned for it.  When he spoke up, he was called a liar for speaking up.  When he remained silent, he was condemned for not speaking up.

Archbishop Hon Asks For Patience

Patience is a virtue.  Whenever there is a problem, it takes time to resolve it.  It is always best to allow time to do its work.  Rome has already stepped in, and so the people should give Archbishop Hon the chance and opportunity to do what he came to do.   Also, remember that Pope Francis asked the people of Guam to give their TRUST and prayers.  No matter what happens, we continue to pray.  The decision that Archbishop Hon may not be in our favor, but God has a plan in this.  It is in this that we will shine like true Christians and all those who see the light of Christ in us will rejoice and believe in God.

When the Vatican steps in to help establish unity, this is not the same as the United States coming in to solve our problems.  The Church does not take the attitude and mentality of colonialism.  The universal Church is one....one body.  We are not here to place demands on the Archbishop. We are the ones to be obedient to the Holy See.  It is not the Holy See who should be obedient to us. There should be a spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and dialogue.  As Catholics, we follow the Holy Father, Pope Francis who is the Vicar of Christ. And the Holy Father sent us Archbishop Hon to try and establish unity within our church. The Vatican has stepped in.  Archbishop Hon has been here for only a short time.  Allow him to do his job.  Rome is here, so let Rome! According to KUAM news:

The Apostolic Administrator appointed by the Pope to temporarily manage the local archdiocese asks for patience. A media release issued this afternoon, states that in the past seven days since arriving to Guam Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-Fai has met with various Archdiocesan Councils and has met individually with priests.
He says that in all of his encounters he's found the priests, deacons, religious, and lay faithful to be very collaborative and helpful in promoting the good of the diocese. Archbishop Hon asks for the people's trust as they continue the process of consulting, reflecting and promoting the unity, harmony, and stability of the Church in Guam.

Message From Father John Wadeson

Dear Brothers,

Today, June 14th is the anniversary of the death of GK Chesterton. A man who wrote powerfully in defense of the truth, yet always respected those with whom he disagreed. If he is a saint, then I pray through his intercession that our controversies in Guam be conducted with the same charity, and defense of the truth. You might enjoy this short biography.

G.K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) On this day, 14 June, in 1936 died G.K. Chesterton, writer and journalist. His writings – stories, essays, poems, books, journalism – are infused with an unequalled joy and love of truth. In youth, he went through a crisis of nihilistic pessimism and it was his recovery from this that led him to God and ultimately to conversion. “The Devil made me a Catholic,” he said – meaning that it was the experience of evil and nothingness that convinced him of the goodness and sanity of the world and his creator. His poem “The Ballade of a Suicide” celebrates the salvific value of ordinary things; his novel, “The Man who was Thursday,” narrates the fight for sanity in an insane world and ponders the paradox of God; and “Orthodoxy”, written long before he became a Catholic, highlights orthodoxy not as a dead and static thing but as the only possible point of equilibrium between crazy heresies any one of which would drive us mad. He took part in all the major controversies of his age, and was a lifelong adversary and friend of socialists and atheists such as George Bernard Shaw. These controversies were conducted with passion but with unfailing charity: he never sought to defeat his opponents, only to defeat their ideas. He would never cheat to score a point: and his love for the people he fought against is something that all controversialists should imitate, however hard it may be.
God bless you all.

With you in the struggle,
John
