The two new Officials will make their public Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity during the Prayer Meeting for Unity on Saturday, July 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. at Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica. I don't understand. How can an itinerary be invited to join in a prayer meeting?

    1. Dear Anonymous at 2:03 pm,

They simply invite us. And we simply attend.

    2. "us"? You are an itinerary? The NCW is a method of forming Catholic Christians, isn't it? How can a method attend anything?

    3. Why didn't the NCW attend the Prayer Vigil for Unity on June 11?

      The invitation said:
His Excellency, Archbishop Savio Hon Tai Fai, S.D.B.,
the newly appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Agana,
invites the faithful to participate in a
      Vigil Prayer Service for Unity
on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 7:30 PM
at the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica in Hagatna.

Why wasn't the NCW there? The church was pretty empty compared to the Prayer Meeting held at St. Anthony Church on Thursday the 9th.

What makes this new invitation different from the one for the June 11 Vigil Prayer fir Unity? I really don't get why you say the invitation for July 2 is given to the NCW and that you will SIMPLY ATTEND when the June 11 was held at the same time and place.

    4. Dear Anonymous at 3:50 pm,

The NCW did not know about the one on June 11th. The invitation was sent only to certain people. I was there because I received the invitation. My community did not attend because they did not know about it and no invitation was given to them.

    5. So if all the NCW communities attend the 7:30 prayer meeting for unity this Saturday does that mean the members will have to attend the regular Mass in their own parishes on Sunday or will all the Eucharistic celebrations be rescheduled for later Saturday night?
How does that work for the communities?

It seems strange that Archbishop Hon would schedule his prayer meeting for unity in conflict with the NCW services. Aren't those 7:30 services supposed to fulfill the obligation to attend Mass?

    6. Do you seriously think that we would believe that the NCW leaders an clergy, operating through the Archdiocesan office, from where the Apostolic Administrator made this statement about the so-called Prayer Vigl for Unity, "did not know about it"?

    7. Dear Anonymous at 6:16 pm,

The NCW would attend Sunday Mass in the parish. Yes, the 7:30 pm Mass fulfills the Sunday obligation. It does not matter to some of is. As I said before, some of us attend both the Saturday Eucharist and the Sunday Mass.

  2. I believe we were all invited. Does this initial invitation not include the NEW? Are you all not a part of the rest of us? Why a separate invitation?

    1. Dear Anonymous at 2:17 pm,

The NCW celebrates the Eucharist every Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, which is the same time as the prayer vigil. So, it makes sense that an invitation was given to us.

  3. It is hard to comprehend Rohr's reaction. He says "sadly, we must proceed" with picketing and protesting at the Cathedral "as if nothing has changed".

    1. Why is he sad?
    2. Was it not his intention to picket and protest forever?
    3. Why does he say he "must proceed"?
    4. Is anyone who told him to do so?
    5. Isn't Archbishop Savio promoting peace, calm and reconciliation?
    6. Why did Rohr order Bob Klietzkie to attack Archbishop Savio publicly as if jumping on him and tearing him apart like a mad dog?
    7. Who is dictating these people to interfere with any action of good will and make it impossible of having any civilized dialogue?

Rohr is sad that he has to proceed with his good-for-nothing guerilla war. He is apparently forced by his handlers. He became a bedfellow with SNAP, ACLU and other open adversaries of the Catholic Church. His anti- establishment jihad is apparently sponsored by these entities and was entrapped by their money to follow their instruction.

Rohr is sad but he is also happy because he can continue doing what he loves first and foremost: shunning church authorities, stirring emotions, inciting hatred and filling the local media with his lynching friendly trash. is this what satisfies him? How sad, indeed.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 3:37 pm,

However, the problem is that Archbishop Apuron is in Rome going through a trial on the sexual allegation. So their lawsuit will have to wait until he returns.

    2. Wait! The archbishop is in Rome going through a trial on the sexual allegation?
I thought you said the archbishop is in Rome for the investigation of the sex abuse allegations.
I don't get it. When did the investigation become a trial?

    3. Dear Anonymous at 2:11 am,

The written testimonies and other evidences were already turned in. After 40 years has passed, that is really all the evidence you can get. So now, the trial takes place.

    4. Oh! So the trial is going on right now in Rome? I didn't know that. Archbishop Hon must be very happy because Archbishop Tony will be back soon and then he can go back to Rome where he belongs. And then Archbishop Tony will be here at home where he belongs!

    5. Dear Anonymous at 11:33 am,

Actually, Archbishop Hon was given the task of bringing unity to the Church. He is starting with the clergy, and he is finding his task a difficult one. If he can bring the clergy into obedience, that would be great. Once the clergy is unified, everything will fall in line with the laity.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 5:42 pm,

I agree. I find it ironic that the Archbishop is being sued for denying the allegations.....as if he has no right to deny it. I wonder how things would unfold if the Pope finds him not guilty of the sexual allegations during his trial in Rome.

Another thing I find ironic is the fact that they are bringing a defamation lawsuit against the Archbishop for calling them a liar. Well, Roy Quintanilla also called the Archbishop a liar. According to news report:

""When I first became aware of his response, obviously my first response was absolutely offended because I know what he did, he knows what he did and he knows that he’s lying," says Quintanilla. "I am not lying."

      http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/local/9383

I wonder how they are going to justify themselves for saying the same things?

    2. Denton and Sondia don't have a defamation case against Apuron because Apuron never said anything to them when they came out publicly. The press release was only in reference to Quintanilla and Concepcion. And yep, you're right, Diana. Quintanilla also called Apuron a liar.

    3. Did you all listen to Archbishop Athony's video statement in Rome, June 7, 2016? He restated his inocence and that he remains a victim to these culamitees. This public statement to the people of Guam called the victims liars....

      Delete
    4. Dear Anonymous at 10:26 am,

Yes, I listened to the video statement. He did not call them liars. He said that he "affirm his innocence and that he is a victim of these calumnies." That is his direct quote. In other words, he did not even speak about the victims. In that video, he spoke only about himself., when he said he is innocent, he is referring to himself. When he said that he is a victim of these calumnies, again, he was referring to himself as a victim.

  7. Trials in Rome of his sexual allegations should include the alleged victims....to stand as plaintiff....who's representing them?

    1. Dear Superman,

Nice name. :-) Their written testimonies are in Rome. Their written testimonies represents them.

  8. Maybe attny lujan and the 4 alleged victims can fly out to Rome for the investigation / trial?? Better there where they can state thier case in person with thier lawyer..... In the mean time Archbishop Hon will take care of local issues of the church...
Both sides can have a fair trial amoungst catholics in Rome? AAA cannot have a fair trial here with the media tainting the minds of local catholics
    and possible jurers......
Too many pare and mulli here and the "I know!!" attitude....
Take it as a pilgrimage to seek the truth....

    1. Dear Anonymous at 8:57 pm,

Perhaps, the Pope believes that their written testimony is sufficient enough. After all, what is there to add when they have already written everything?

      Delete
    2. Cuz this has been in the news a lot, I don't think they can have a jury trial. In a civil case, can't a judge be the only one to decide?

      Delete
    3. Yep, the Pope can go by their written testimony. That's the reason Denton was told to write everything in detail. I'm sure the Vatican also has Denton's interview with the Bishop in Arizona.

  9. Diana, although I believe the alleged victims, I think you and I can agree that the lawsuit is a good thing.

  10. For me, it really didn't matter who filed the lawsuit, as long as a lawsuit was filed. That's the important thing.
