On Saturday, February 14th, a seminarian, Pedro Luis Durango Agudelo of Columbia will be ordained a transitional deacon - meaning that he will later be ordained as a priest. Pedro is from the Redemptoris Mater Archdicosan Missionary Seminary in Yona and has completed the requirements for Diaconal Ordination. Congratualtions Pedro!!!!
When did he enter the seminary?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous at 4:24 pm,
DeleteI do not know exactly when he entered the seminary. If I am not mistaken, Pedro was already a seminarian when he arrived in Guam about 8 years ago.
God bless you Pedro!

ReplyDeleteWhen did he enter the seminary?..........a better question would be...when did he hear the call to serve?
Diana. Just my thoughts.....I am not sure if this was the same man Archbishop brought with him during the Men's Conference in Mongmong. I was a bit disappointed with the Archbishop because he didnt introduce the person he was with especially if he was a seminarian or a transitional deacon...but already wearing a collar. I just wished AAA would have introduced this young man to us...to the men present during this conference.

This is my message to Tim Rohr and the JungleWatch group before the Lenten Season begins. It came to my attention that provocations continue to come out of the JungleWatch blog. This group attacks the local Church leadership and everything about the Neocatechumenal Way, a Catholic itinerary on island. Among others, they keep spreading gossip, hearsay and superstition about the Archbishop, about priests and nuns, about seminarians, about this blog and its writers including Diana and myself, just about anyone who is associated with the Way. Let me repeat that this is unacceptable for any Christian, even more for Catholics.
ReplyDeleteTim writes, encourages and publishes extremely uncivil posts and comments with the single goal of destruction. Frustrated that the apostolic visitors did not agree with the biased agenda laid down at JungleWatch, they continue spreading hatred and division. They would never accept that the Pope looks with favor on the Way, rather they make charges even against Vatican officials to blame them for advances of the Way on Guam.
They know nothing about the true spirit working in the Way. We consider the authorities of catechists and initiators an internal matter that nobody from outside can truly experience and judge. It is the work of the spirit that we listen to our Catholic brothers and sisters who walk in the Way with this authority. It is the Holy Spirit who advocates the ways of the Lord, so we may find our thoughts, actions and inclinations in harmony with Him.
JungleWatch went down on a slippery road to scandalize its readers, to turn Christian against Christian, Catholic against Catholic. Tim is personally responsible for this escalation that he pushes further and further with every utterance. His authors like Frenchie do not shy away from routinely accusing the Way with freemasonry and talmudism. This vocabulary repeats and recalls the vicious promoters of hatred and destruction in the bloody history of the 20th century. Freemasons have always been enemies of the Catholic Church. The Neocatechumenal Way, in contrast, is a major asset of new evangelization. The Talmud is a collection of religious writings in Judaism that has nothing to do with other religions. No Catholic follows the Talmud because our religion is Christianity. We follow Jesus Christ. These basic facts should not miss the attention of our adversaries at JungleWatch.
This is my last comment until the joy of the resurrection of our Lord dawns on Easter Sunday. I ask everyone please work and pray honestly for unity to bring us Catholics together in healing the division of the Church. The Lenten season is an eminent opportunity that should not be wasted. Otherwise my comment here may very well be my very last message for Tim and his group of followers.
Dear Zoltan,
DeleteDo not worry about the jungle. I have always suggested that you do not even go to the jungle. Father Pius and the Archbishop have told the community not to go to the jungle. They can complain about the Archbishop and the NCW all they want. In fact, the jungle already knows that a manila envelope was given to the Pope by the Archbishop. And they do not know what is inside the envelope. Tim Rohr's spies have not been able to get a hold of the contents in the envelope. So, do not worry!! Our mission has already been accomplished in Manila. :) The Pope already told Archbishop Apuron that he supports him, and he is doing a great job. So, it does not matter what the jungle says.
By the way, there is more good news we found out from the Lenten Announcement last night. I will write more about it in my next entry. :)
Thank you for the good news, dear Diana. It is good to read them. My occasional comments on your blog are partly based on what I read at Tim Rohr's blog. But it is not worth it of reading his blog, when he pushes forward beyond all reasonable limits.
DeleteThey have a mistaken identity and a misconception that what they do is right. Now they are acting as self appointed inquisitors against Antoine Tajelle. It is not right! We have to tell them. If JungleWatch wastes the opportunity of the Lenten season for moving in the direction of healing, unity and reconciliation, then I personally won't have anything to tell them or anything to read at their site anymore.
Dear Zoltan,
DeleteWe do not need to tell the jungle anything. The jungle is not interested in reconciliation or unity. It is a waste of time to make any attempts of unity with someone who already chose not to reconcile or have unity. The best thing is to move forward. We continue to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We continue to bring people to God just as He commanded us to do. Pope Francis already told the Archbishop that he supports him, so we simply move forward.
Dear Zoltan - I thought you had already given up visiting the jungle. You just can't stay away can't you?
DeleteDear Diana at 9.39am, what is this Manila folder that you refer to? Surely you are not implying like some others that it is a request/notice of excommunication? Can you please clarify?
