Archdiocese Criticizes Protesters

The Archdiocese of Agana says the protest that was held by dozens of frustrated Catholics at the Guam International Airport last week was "not the warm Hafa Adai Spirit that the Chamorro people are well known for".  The protestors shouted you're not a real Catholic" and "go home" to Professor Giuseppe Gennarini, Mrs. Claudia Gennarini and Fr. Angelo Poschetti as they arrived and walked out of the terminal.  Professor Gennarini is described as the head of the Neocatechumenal Way in the United States. He along with Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes are on Guam to conduct courses at the Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores Catholic Theological Institute for Oceania (“Theological Institute”) in Yona.  According to a press release issued last night by  the Archdiocese of Agana Professor Gennarini is also a member of the Board of Guarantors of the Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary of Guam.

Fr. Edivaldo da Silva Oliveira, who is now the acting spokesperson for the Archdiocese, has previously stated that  Archdiocese does not  believe that the actions of this angry mob represents the feelings of the vast majority of the Catholics of Guam.

Last week's protest at the airport was one of many held over the last several years by local Catholics frustrated with the actions of Archbishop Anthony Apuron who they believe has been influenced by the Neocatechumenal Way. Over the last several years they have been requesting to meet with him to discuss their concerns. "Some questions have been raised about the Archbishop’s unwillingness to address the concerns of the protestors. However, the Archbishop completed his pastoral visits of every parish (26 Catholic parishes) of the Archdiocese of Agana in 2015, and during this time, the Archbishop not only met with many of these protestors, but allowed the parishioners present to ask questions. Thus, while the Archbishop has not granted a private meeting to these protestors, the opportunity was given to all Catholics in the Archdiocese to directly communicate their concerns to the Archbishop," the press release stated.

The Archdiocese meanwhile is inviting the public to the Cathedral on Saturday as Cardinal Cordes will be celebrating a special mass at 7:30 pm.

                                                   Media Release
                                                    April 28, 2016

The Archdiocese of Agana was extremely saddened by the actions of the angry mob that appeared at the Guam International Airport Authority upon the arrival of Professor Giuseppe Gennarini, Mrs. Claudia Gennarini and Fr. Angelo Poschetti; this is not the warm Hafa Adai Spirit that the Chamorro people are well-known for, and Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron has privately extended a warm welcome to the Gennarinis and Fr. Angelo. As previously stated by Fr. Edivaldo da Silva Oliveira, the Archdiocese does not believe that the actions of this angry mob represents the feelings of the vast majority of the Catholics of Guam.

The Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores Catholic Theological Institute for Oceania (“Theological Institute”) is currently offering two courses which are being presented by Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes and Professor Gennarini.

Cardinal Cordes has held top positions in multiple pontifical councils and congregations, and has been teaching a 10-Session course on the Theology of the Priesthood, which ends on April 30, 2016, as was recently reported in the Archdiocesan newspaper, the Umatuna Si Yu’os.

Professor Gennarini holds a doctorate in Church History from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and is here to teach a course for the seminarians of the Archdiocese. Professor Gennarini is also a member of the Board of Guarantors of the Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary of Guam.

In recent days, some of the protestors who appeared at the airport, have also made an appearance at the Theological Institute, which is also occupied by the seminary. Like any other institute of learning, similar to the Guam Public School System, the Catholic School system or the University of Guam, interference with the learning environment of its students cannot be tolerated by the presence and disruption of protestors. The protestors were requested to immediately leave the premises, and the Guam Police Department were contacted to ensure that the peace was maintained in light of the obvious concerns raised by the conduct of this group just a few days earlier.

Fr. Pius Sammut is the Rector of the seminary, and was appointed by Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron. The Rector is responsible for the formation of the seminarians, both spiritually and academically; he is also responsible for the daily operations of the seminary.

Some questions have been raised about the Archbishop’s unwillingness to address the concerns of the protestors. However, the Archbishop completed his pastoral visits of every parish (26 Catholic parishes) of the Archdiocese of Agana in 2015, and during this time, the Archbishop not only met with many of these protestors, but allowed the parishioners present to ask questions. Thus, while the Archbishop has not granted a private meeting to these protestors, the opportunity was given to all Catholics in the Archdiocese to directly communicate their concerns to the Archbishop.

Finally, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, Cardinal Cordes will be celebrating a special mass in the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica, at 7:30 p.m. This special celebration is open to the public and all are welcome.

What The Jungle Left Out

According to KUAM news dated April 27, 2016:
Klitzkie says the group just wanted to meet with the archbishop, and  should have been free to visit if it were indeed archdiocesan premises. Now he wants to know why they were told to leave.
And according to Tim Rohr's press release published on his blog:
Fr. Edivaldo also attempts to make the case that the demonstrators were trespassing when they walked on to the grounds of the Seminary this past Tuesday and asked to see the Archbishop.  He compared their presence to an interference with the learning environment at a public school.  This is even more pathetic since there is no law forbidding a parent to walk into a public school and ask to see the principal.

Below are photos taken of the protesters INSIDE the RMS property.  One of the protesters deliberately hid his face as these photos were taken:

So, based on these photos that were taken of the women who entered INSIDE the RMS property, did it look like they only wanted to speak to the Archbishop as Mr. Klitzkie and Mr. Rohr claims??????  Of course not!!!!

With their huge placards and signs, they  deliberately brought their protest inside the RMS property.  They were not there to have a nice talk with the Archbishop.  They were there to scream their protests as they hold up their signs and to disrupt the meeting and education of the seminarians.

This is what the jungle left out.  They wanted the public to believe that the protesters who entered the RMS property merely wanted to have a nice talk with the Archbishop.  They left out the part that they came in and demonstrated in front of the Seminary building, holding up their huge placards and signs.  Due to the fact that they deliberately brought their protests inside the RMS property, they were indeed "trespassing".  Their intention was never to have a nice talk with the Archbishop.

News Flash Of Recent Events!

On Wednesday April 27th, LFM and CCOG said they will cause a commotion in Yona Parish during the Archbishop’s visit for confirmation. There was no
commotion. People were happy to welcome him in their parish. A no-event.

On Thursday April 28th, they said that they will come in numbers to protest at the Seminary. They even had an article printed at PDN before their scheduled event. There was a police car. But there were only a FEW people holding the usual placards. The seminary staff offered them water and coffee. Again a no-event.  And Kudos to the seminary staff for offering water and coffee to the elderly folks protesting under the hot sun!

Is this the latest tactic to keep feeding the newspapers, radio-shows and TV?

On Sunday April 24th, a group of 5 women went to Merizo to distribute their hate-flyers. And they shouted at Father Julius, the pastor to go home. They probably picked on him because he is black. Racism in its most despicable form.

Prediction Came True

In this blog, I did say that it is only a matter of time when the protesters will enter INSIDE the Church to protest.  According to Jokers Wild (the bold is mine) whose comment can be found here:

Now they are throwing the "its our right, since its ours". That has childish written all over it but then again as you get older the mind tends to reverse to younger years. If we were to use their logic then every parish and its rectory should be open for all who claim to be Catholic, to roam freely because we own it.
There wouldnt have been any problem if in fact they were peacefully protesting but the truth revealed itself in their embarrassing protest at the airport arrivals area then repeated again that morning at the seminary.
In a recent protest a woman had entered the church and began yelling at the priest only to be reminded that they were in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and if they could relocate to an area to avoid the disrespect towards Jesus' real presence. Her tone of voice and words were not needed to draw any more attention because the congregation had already exited and only the priest and one other non-neo parishioner remained inside.
Our call to not resist this evil is allowing the truth to be revealed.
God definitely has a plan in all this and who knows maybe we will see saints come out of it as did happen when the first foreigners came to our shores to plant the seed of faith. Now the foreigners who have come to maintain, to nurture, to turn the stagnant soil are being persecuted, being murdered. This time again there are the locals who support but there will always be resistance from some.
History repeats itself!

Pas!
-Jokers Wild

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Catholic Church,
I predicted that it would only be a matter of time when the protesters will enter INSIDE the Catholic Church to protest.  That prediction has come true.  Have courage!  Do not retaliate!  Imitate Christ who was yelled at, mocked, ridiculed, and humiliated by his persecutors. Rejoice in this persecution.  Do not resist evil.  Do not yell back at those who yell at you.

An RMS priest once shared a true story while he was in Spain.  A group of anti-Catholic Protestants were yelling and spitting at a group of young Catholic students. All kinds of degrading words were thrown at them.  And what did these Catholic students do as they were being spit upon?  They knelt down on the ground, took out their rosaries, and started to pray.  There was no anger in them.  Christ took up their sufferings so that only peace remains in their hearts.  No matter what insults were thrown at them, it did not bother them.  They were spit upon, but it did not bother them.

The Christians In The World

From a letter to Diognetus

Christians are indistinguishable from other men either by nationality, language or customs.  They do not inhabit separate cities of their own, or speak a strange dialect, or follow some outlandish way of life.  Their teaching is not based upon reveries inspired by the curiosity of men.  Unlike some other people, they champion no purely human doctrine.  With regard to dress, food and manner of life in general, they follow the customs of whatever city they happen to be living in, whether it is Greek or foreign.

And yet there is something extraordinary about their lives.  They live in their own countries as though they were only passing through.  They play their full role as citizens, but labor under all the disabilities of aliens.  Any country can be their homeland, but for them their homeland, wherever it may be, is a foreign country.  Like others, they marry and have children, but they do not expose them.  They share their meals, but not their wives.  They live in the flesh, but they are not governed by the desires of the flesh.  They pass their days upon earth, but they are citizens of heaven.  Obedient to the laws, they yet live on a level that transcend the law.

Christians love all men, but all men persecute them.  Condemned because they are not understood, they are put to death, but raised to life again.  They live in poverty, but enrich many; they are totally destitute, but possess an abundance of everything.  They suffer dishonor, but that is their glory.  They are defamed, but vindicated.  A blessing is their answer to abuse, deference their response to insult.  For the good they do they receive the punishment of malefactors, but even then they rejoice, as though receiving the gift of life.  They are attacked by the Jews as aliens, they are persecuted by the Greeks, yet no one can explain the reason for this hatred.

To speak in general terms, we may say that the Christians is to the world what the soul is to the body.  As the soul is present in every part of the body, while remaining distinct from it, so Christians are found in all the cities of the world, but cannot be identified with the world.  As the visible body contains the invisible soul, so Christians are seen living in the world, but their religious life remains unseen.  The body hates the soul and wars against it, not because of any injury the soul has done it, but because of the restriction the soul places on its pleasures.  Similarly, the world hates the Christians, not because they have done it any wrong, but because they are opposed to its enjoyments.

Christians love those who hate them just as the soul loves the body and all its members despite the body's hatred.  It is by the soul, enclosed within the body, that the body is held together, and similarly, it is by the Christians, detained in the world as in a prison, that the world is held together.  The soul, though immortal, has a mortal dwelling place; and Christians also live for a time amidst perishable things, while awaiting the freedom from change and decay that will be theirs in heaven.  As the soul benefits from the deprivation of food and drink, so Christians flourish under persecution.  Such is the Christian's lofty and divinely appointed function, from which he is not permitted to excuse himself.

The Great Mission 2016, Guam

NCW in Merizo Pier Park
NCW in Yigo

The Rule Of Law

The following were made by two anonymous commenters (who may be the same person).  His/Her comments can be found here and here.

Anon 12:21AM. No it was not mentioned. Diana I will call the feds and the Airlines and get to the bottom of this who gave Tim the information!

To the person or persons who has been releasing flight information to the public:
I will find out who you are and have you arrested.
You may hide behind lies about Pius and the bishop. You may lie about the legality of what you are doing. But remember that people who gossip with you are just as likely to gossip against you. Your identity will not remain secret long. I will discover who you are and bring your name to the proper authorities.

You can start by taking a screen shot of the jungle displaying the flight itinerary of the Archbishop and Father Harold and then submitting that to the proper authorities to begin their investigation.  The fact that they were able to get the flight itinerary (including seat numbers) is a cause of great concern for the public who travel.  How can the airlines and airport security ensure the public that they are safe and confidential information is not leaked out to the wrong people?

At the same time that they are investigating employees at the airlines or airport, they can start questioning Tim Rohr as to where he obtained this leaked information.  The protesters who were at the airport can also be questioned as to how they obtained information on the Gennarinis' flight because the two incidents are linked.  Videos were taken of them, so they can easily be identified.

As for the Remptoris Mater Seminary, it belongs to the Archbishop, who is the true representative and head of the Catholic faithful on Guam, and he has the authority to determine who enters the property.  The jungle, LFM, and CCOG are NOT the Archbishop nor do their represent the Archdiocese of Agana no matter how much they tell themselves that they are the Church.  The true Catholic Church listens to her head, and from what I recall the junglefolks denounced the Archbishop as their head and followed another shepherd.....Tim Rohr.

We live in a civilized society governed by the rule of law.  The Criminal Trespass Law of Guam are:
§ 70.41 of Title 9 Guam Code Annotated provides:

A person commits a misdemeanor if, he without the written permission of the owner or of the owner's agent or of the person in lawful possession:

(c)           Enters any lands, whether unenclosed or enclosed by fence, for the purpose of injuring any property or property rights or with the intention of interfering with, obstructing or injuring any lawful business occupation carried on by the owner of such land, his agent or by the person in lawful possession; or

(d)          Enters any lands . . . enclosed by fence . . . : or (3) Refuses or fails to leave such lands immediately upon being requested to leave by the owner of such land, his agent or by the person in lawful possession.

There are two types of criminal trespass circumstances that apply to the RMS.  First, the intentional trespass onto the RMS Property and interference with the RMS meeting IS A CRIMINAL TRESPASS.  Second, if ANYONE, i.e. Fr. Pius, the front staff, the gardener, or anyone acting on behalf of the owner (THE ARCHBISOP), directs the trespasser to leave and they refuse to immediately comply, it is A CRIMINAL TRESPASS.

It is also illegal for demonstrators to distribute pamphlets on Church grounds without the permission of the pastor.  A group of people cannot simply walk into Church grounds and do whatever they want without the permission of the pastor.  They can claim to be the Church all they want, but the pastor is the head of the local Church in the village and therefore the person in charge.  In the Catholic Church, the body (people) is supposed to obey its head (priest). The pastor or anyone whom the pastor designates can tell the protesters to leave otherwise the police will be called.  If they do not leave immediately within one minute, then call the police.  You do not even need to tell them a second time.

St. Theresa of Avilla once said that "Humility is truth."  This does not mean that as Christians we are to be a "doormat" for people to step over.  "Humility is truth" means that we must recognize who we are....that we came from the dirt and to the dirt we shall return.  The word "humility" comes from the Latin word "humus", which is translated to mean "earth" or "on the ground."  It is not translated to mean "doormat."
From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
2255 It is the duty of citizens to work with civil authority for building up society in a spirit of truth, justice, solidarity, and freedom.

Jungle Abuses The Elderly

There was a protest by LFM this morning at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary.  This protest was held by elderly people.  The police was called because it was not a peaceful protest.  They have gone inside the property of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary and even BLOCKED traffic.

The law states that all demonstrations are to be conducted on public property, and that all demonstrations are to be peaceful.  There is nothing peaceful about blocking traffic and not allowing people to pass through to get to their destination.  LFM has violated the law.

On the other hand, another issue has been raised.  These protesters from LFM are elderly folks protesting under the hot sun and rain.  If one of them collapses due to weather conditions, the jungle would jump at the chance of blaming the Archbishop.  But WHO was the one who brainwashed them to protest in the first place?  It was the jungle.

They have targeted the elderly folks and brainwashed them just like Adolf Hitler targeted the impressionable youths (18 and 19 years old) into his army.  Where are the younger folks of the jungle who brainwashed the elderly folks?  Why are they not out under the hot sun and rain protesting and blocking traffic?  Why are they sending out the elderly folks?  Where is Monsignor James?  Where is Father Paul?  Where is Deacon Steve Martinez?  Where is Tim Rohr?  Why are they abusing our elderly by sending them out under the hot sun and rain and in the midst of traffic to protest?  Why are they recruiting the elderly folks to do their dirty work?

I have said this before in my blog.  The protesters are violating the law when they are on church grounds distributing their pamphlets.  Freedom of expression is allowed, but there are certain restrictions.  One cannot protest on private grounds without the permission of the owner.  The pastor has jurisdiction over his church grounds and has a duty to protect his flock.  People cannot just walk into Church property and do whatever they want without the permission of the pastor.

The reason the protesters are getting as bold as they are now is simply because they saw that they were able to get away with violating the law. It will only be a matter of time when they enter INSIDE the Church before or during Mass to distribute their pamphlets.  All they had to do was brainwash the elderly into thinking that all "Neo parishes" are not Catholic, and this is already being done by both Tim Rohr and Chuck White.  Once they are brainwashed into believing that Barrigada Church, Chalan Pago Church, Agana Church, Agat Church, etc. are not Catholic, it will make it easier for them to distribute their pamphlets inside the Church.

Calling the police on the protesters who blocked traffic this morning at the RM Seminary was the proper thing to do.  It was done not only to protect the seminary, but ALSO to protect the elderly protesters who stood in the way of traffic.  The jungle, on the other hand, are abusing our elderly by sending them out to protest in such manner where they can be hurt or killed as they block traffic.

Airline Passenger Names

Under the thread of "A Majority of Guam Speaks" there has been a discussion as to whether the names of airline passengers are private or public.  According to the following website, the question was asked if the passenger list of a flight can be checked online:

Can the passenger list of a flight be checked online?

No. Passenger information is private information. Only the airline and governments know the list of passengers on a flight.

A lot of care goes into keeping that information away from entities who have no business with it.

As a passenger on the flight, you can see your own information of course as long as you have the "keys" to access it. Such as your confirmation number, name and sometimes your frequent flyer information.

You can however see customers on a standby/upgrade list for the flight on several different airlines, but its only the first initial and the first three letters of their last name.

Typically in the event of an issue with the flight, all these sources of displaying customer information are shut down almost immediately to avoid the information becoming public and used nefariously.

https://www.quora.com/Can-the-passenger-list-of-a-flight-be-checked-online

In that website, nine answers were given and all of them said that passenger information flight is confidential and falls under privacy laws. It is not available to the public.  However, it is already known that Tim Rohr is able to get access not only to Mr. Gennarini's flight information, but also the Archbishop's flight information.  Now, the question is......where and what is the Transportation Security Administration doing about this?

I find it ironic that the jungle accuses the NCW of taking over the Department of Land Management and the Attorney General's Office; yet, they show no evidence of it.  It is no wonder why the accuse the NCW of taking over those government agencies.  What they accuse the NCW of is actually what they are guilty of.  They were projecting their own crimes to others.  It appears that the jungle has access of ALL passenger names and information of a flight.  The fact that they show up protesting at the exact time that the Gennarinis were supposed to arrive is the evidence itself.  So, where and what is TSA going to do about this????  Where is KUAM????

UPDATE:

Below is a screen shot of Junglewatch showing that someone in the airlines supplied Tim Rohr with confidential information of the Archbishop's and Father Harold's flight itinerary.  It even has their seat numbers on it.  This information came off someone's computer screen in the airlines.  This is very serious because confidential information is being leaked by someone in the airlines or airport.

Archbishop Schneider

Bishop Schneider is not only against the Way.  He is also against the liturgy of the regular parish Mass.  Of course, Tim Rohr agrees with everything Bishop Schneider says.  After all, he attends the Traditional Latin Mass.  He has even called his followers to pressure their parish priests to make changes in the regular parish Masses.  Why?  Because he believes that only real reverence is found in the Traditional Latin Mass.

Bishop Schneider has criticized the documents of Vatican II which are aligned with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  According to the weblink below:
In Lumen Gentium 16, he criticizes the text: “the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Muslims, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God.”..............
These are the Muslims – they have no supernatural faith and therefore they have no supernatural act of worship. Even the Jews who rejected Jesus as God, as Trinity, they rejected Him they have no faith. Therefore their worship is also natural, not supernatural.”
Schneider also criticizes the document Unitatis Redintegratio on ecumenism where it states that even non Catholics are a means of salvation.
Apparently, Bishop Schneider has already judged that only Catholics are saved while everyone else are not.  Yet, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:
Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.337
848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."338
Salvation comes from God alone, and it is not the place of the Church or any Bishop to judge non-Christians to Hell.  Which one among us would condemn a sick child to Hell simply because he/she was born into a Hindu family and have never heard the Gospel of Christ?  This Hindu child never even rejected Christ.  After all, a person cannot reject what he/she have never heard of in the first place.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13  What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

Pope Benedict XVI's letter on February 22, 2007

Below is a letter written by Pope Benedict XVI on February 22, 2007, which is about a year before the Statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way was approved.  Father Gerardo Raul Carcar who was the Vicar Cooperator of the Parish of San Girolamo at Corviale asked the Pope for advice on how he can fit the ecclesial movements and new communities such as the Neocatechumenal Way to develop a real ministry of unity for the universal Church.  Below is the response of Pope Benedict XVI (the bold is mine):

So I see that I must be briefer. Thank you for your question. I think you mentioned the essential sources of all that we can say about Movements. In this sense, your question is also an answer.
I would like to explain immediately that in recent months I have been receiving the Italian Bishops on their ad limina visits and so have been able to find out a little more about the geography of the faith in Italy. I see many very beautiful things together with the problems that we all know.
I see above all that the faith is still deeply rooted in the Italian heart even if, of course, it is threatened in many ways by today's situations.
The Movements also welcome my fatherly role as Pastor. Others are more critical and say that Movements are out of place. I think, in fact, that situations differ and everything depends on the people in question.
It seems to me that we have two fundamental rules of which you spoke. The first was given to us by St Paul in his First Letter to the Thessalonians: do not extinguish charisms. If the Lord gives us new gifts we must be grateful, even if at times they may be inconvenient. And it is beautiful that without an initiative of the hierarchy but with an initiative from below, as people say, but which also truly comes from on High, that is, as a gift of the Holy Spirit, new forms of life are being born in the Church just as, moreover, they were born down the ages.
At first, they were always inconvenient. Even St Francis was very inconvenient, and it was very hard for the Pope to give a final canonical form to a reality that by far exceeded legal norms. For St Francis, it was a very great sacrifice to let himself be lodged in this juridical framework, but in the end this gave rise to a reality that is still alive today and will live on in the future: it gives strength, as well as new elements, to the Church's life.
I wish to say only this: Movements have been born in all the centuries. Even St Benedict at the outset was a Movement. They do not become part of the Church's life without suffering and difficulty. St Benedict himself had to correct the initial direction that monasticism was taking. Thus, in our century too, the Lord, the Holy Spirit, has given us new initiatives with new aspects of Christian life. Since they are lived by human people with their limitations, they also create difficulties.
So the first rule is: do not extinguish Christian charisms; be grateful even if they are inconvenient.
The second rule is: the Church is one; if Movements are truly gifts of the Holy Spirit, they belong to and serve the Church and in patient dialogue between Pastors and Movements, a fruitful form is born where these elements become edifying for the Church today and in the future.
This dialogue is at all levels. Starting with the parish priest, the Bishops and the Successor of Peter, the search for appropriate structures is underway: in many cases it has already borne fruit. In others, we are still studying.
For example, we ask ourselves whether, after five years of experience, it is possible to confirm definitively the Statutes for the Neocatechumenal Way, whether a trial period is necessary or whether, perhaps, certain elements of this structure need perfecting.
In any case, I knew the Neocatechumens from the very outset. It was a long Way, with many complications that still exist today, but we have found an ecclesial form that has already vastly improved the relationship between the Pastor and the Way. We are going ahead like this! The same can be said for other Movements.
Now, as a synthesis of the two fundamental rules, I would say: gratitude, patience and also acceptance of the inevitable sufferings. In marriage too, there is always suffering and tension. Yet, the couple goes forward and thus true love matures. The same thing happens in the Church's communities: let us be patient together.
The different levels of the hierarchy too - from the parish priest to the Bishop, to the Supreme Pontiff - must continually exchange ideas with one another, they must foster dialogue to find together the best road. The experiences of parish priests are fundamental and so are the experiences of the Bishop, and let us say, the universal perspectives of the Pope have a theological and pastoral place of their own in the Church.
On the one hand, these different levels of the hierarchy as a whole and on the other, all life as it is lived in the parish context with patience and openness in obedience to the Lord, really create new vitality in the Church.
Let us be grateful to the Holy Spirit for the gifts he has given to us. Let us be obedient to the voice of the Spirit, but also clear in integrating these elements into our life; lastly, this criterion serves the concrete Church and thus patiently, courageously and generously, the Lord will certainly guide and help us.

Pray For Those Who Persecute Us

Someone pointed out that all the Archbishop had to do was come out to meet them and address their concerns.  However, their concerns have already been addressed.  It is not the Archbishop's problem that they chose to believe Tim Rohr over the Archdiocese.

This is something one should seriously consider.  They say they want the RMS property back in the Archdiocese.  Yet, when the Certificate of Titles were corrected with the proper memorial in place and naming the Archbishop as the legal owner, they complained.  One would think that they would find it a relief that the RMS property is still under the Archdiocese of Agana even with the Declaration of Deed Restriction in the memorial.  But instead of being relieved, they express outrage.  In fact, they demanded that the Certificate of Titles name the "Redemptoris Mater Corp." as the legal owner.  And these are the people who say they want the RMS property returned to the Archdiocese of Agana???

Their real agenda is to publicly humiliate the Archbishop and remove him.  Tim Rohr was never concern about the RMS property, Father Paul, or Monsignor James.  This is a personal matter with him.  Two years ago, Tim Rohr stated the following in my blog.  His written comments can be found here and here.

Tim
March 12, 2014 at 5:00 PM
Yes, there is a history between the Archbishop and myself. I have gone to battle for him when no one else would. Back when no one would come forward to stand up against BJ Cruz and his same-sex bill, it was me the Archbishop turned to. I asked him if he could find someone else. I didn't feel equipped. I asked him if there was anyone in the Neocatechumenal Way, lawyers who knew much more than me who would stand up to BJ Cruz, an attorney, a senator, and a former Supreme Court Chief Justice. The Archbishop said, no. There was no one. Ask him.

It took me 9 months of fighting against this bill on the radio, on TV, in the newspaper, 9 months of my life when I was struggling financially due to enormous medical bills related to the birth of one of my children, 9 months of being called a bigot and a homophobe and mocked.

And it was my idea to put together a symposium to go the churches and speak about this bill and what its effects would be. It was I who asked the Archbishop to ask Edward Garcia and Ric Eusebio to join me in this crusade. It was I who stood side by side with them night after night in parish after parish. Ask him.

And then when BJ went after the Archbishop personally with a bill that would have put him behind bars for not reporting known sex abuse cases (AND THERE WERE KNOWN SEX ABUSE CASES), it was I who went to bat for him, it was I who fought BJ tooth and nail in the media, it was I who the Archbishop's legal counsel called when they needed somebody to go after SNAP. Ask him.

It was I who fought to limit BJ Cruz's "window legislation" so that the archdiocese couldn't be sued as other dioceses in the states have been sued. It was my face which was the hated face in the media. It was I who was called the "bishop's boy", the bishop's lackey", the "bishop's dog." Ask him. Ask BJ Cruz.

And it was I who worked to get the first significant legislation introduced to battle the abortionists who had free rein on this island for 30 years. It was I who stood in front of the legislature at public hearings and battled against senators who mocked, ridiculed and even yelled at me. I did it so the Archbishop wouldn't have to and so that I could save him stain of abortion blood on an island that is mostly Catholic and under his control for three decades but kills a child every day, 2/3 of whom are of his own blood. Ask him.

And it is I who go on the radio, on TV, into the newspaper overtime our Catholic Faith is mocked or challenged. It is I whose family had to suffer and do without while we sank every available dollar and available minute of our lives in starting a Catholic bookstore so that Catholics could learn about their faith and because no one else would do it. It was I who got my children up at 4am on Sunday mornings so we could load up our car with tables and books so that we could be at the 6am Mass somewhere and sell books after Masses standing in the rain and the sun when other families were enjoying brunch, and doing it even though I could have been making much more money doing something else.
And it was I who cleaned up the mess after his meeting with the legislature and where at he was accused of wanting to kill homosexuals because of a letter released in his name that he didn't write. I was I who called up Travis Coffman when he was reading the letter in disbelief on the radio that afternoon and fought to protect the bishop's name, making sure that everyone knew that the archbishop didn't write it even though it was on his letterhead. Ask him.

It was I who called his attention to the Archdiocese' paying for contraceptives and abortifacients because of the Obamacare mandate. It was I who was at the meeting with the Archbishop and his advisors: Deacon Kim, Msgr. David, Ed Terlaje. It was I who proposed a solution which has kept this Archdiocese, the only Archdiocese in the whole country, exempt from having to pay for baby killing drugs. Ask them.

Yes, that is what is between the Archbishop and me. I have gone to bat for him again and again in the dirtiest of battles and when no one else would. Ask him.

But if you don't want to meet with me, if only to fulfill the commandment of the Lord, so that you can rightfully shake the dust from your feet, then, well, at least you know the rest of the story.
As anyone can clearly see from Tim's own comments, this is a personal thing with him that has nothing to do with the RMS property, Father Paul, or Monsignor James.  He and the Archbishop has a history together that goes back before Father Paul was removed from the Dededo Parish.  Tim Rohr was never out to correct what he perceived to be a wrong.  He is out for revenge, to humiliate and mock the Archbishop just as he felt humiliated and mocked so many years ago in his battle against the same sex bill.  He held a grudge, which continues to consume him to this day.  He blamed the Archbishop for the humiliation and mockery he received as he fought against the same sex bill.  He cannot see that the fault was actually his.  After all, he had the freedom to say "no" to the Archbishop rather than take up the crusade against BJ Cruz.  The people who follow him are there either out of ignorance, envy, or malice of their own.  And so, we need to pray for them and for Tim who persecutes us and the Archbishop.
Brothers and sisters in the Way, the hardest thing about being a Christian is to love the enemy.....to love those who persecute us.  But we are called to love all people, most especially the enemy and to pray for them.  There is much power in prayer, and miracles can happen through prayer.

The Majority Of Guam Speaks

The Gennarinis are on island.  They arrived at the airport.  Unfortunately, they were greeted by a LITTLE mob of angry junglefolks.  As anyone can see from the video below, their group is very small.  After reading all the comments, it is very obvious that they do not have the support of the majority of Catholics on Guam.  In fact, a majority of them are very embarrassed that this happened. You can view the video at the PNC facebook weblink below:

These are a few of the comments below regarding the behavior of the protesters.  I just listed 21 comments from 21 different people.  There are many more who were AGAINST the protesters' behavior.  A vast majority of people who made comments are not in the Way, and they do not support the jungle's behavior.  Comments who supported the protesters were extremely few.  In fact, they are basically the same people.  Those who were against these protesters came from a variety of backgrounds and were more in number:

1.  Daphanie Ngirachelsau:  how rude yelling at him

2.  Dennise MarieThis is absolutely appalling to watch. They should be so ashamed of their actions. Yes, we all have freedom to choose to do what we wish, but to conduct yourself in this manner and call yourself a Christian is embarrassing.

3.  Doreen CabreraWow! This is just so embarrassing. This is just one of the reasons why catholics have been changing their religions. What in the world!!!

4.  Aric Garcia:  That is sad, my parents use to say to me in Chamorro " to mai mai gù
Si Jesus" ( god is not sleeping) all I know is that is just wrong.

5.  Javier IsidroI don't feel that these protesters are acting Catholic at all. Just let the guy be. People have the right to practice their own religious beliefs. "The First Amendment" people.

6.  Tiarra Jean Tyquiengco:  You act of what they're doing is so hypocritical!!! This is not what jesus would do! Shame on you people. Why do you act like that? You may not agree with change or like what you have heard, but is this a way of acting? You do not say such things like this to anyone or act like that, so foolish!

7.  Meno Franklin: What gives them the right to go and act like idiots about a person belief especially at the airport. They should go home themselves

8.  Shauntay Aflleje: I agree with almost everyone here. Is this how catholics behave? Is this the Hafa Adai spirit? Can you imagine what other visitors who were in the airport at the time were thinking?? Shame of you guys for not only making your faith look bad bit your island as well 😐

9.  Mae Taitague: Oh my goodness! Can't believe that was happening at the airport in Guam. Not so nice!

10.  Travis Sanchez: Wow how embarrassing from all you elderly people of guam... is this how guam is YOU SHOULD JUST GO HOME AND PRAY LOL TO SDMH...DON'T JUDGE PEOPLE FOR THERE DOINGS AND THE THINGS THEY'VE DONE WE ALL HAVE A REASON FOR THE THINGS WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT... LET HIM BE AND THE THINGS HE BELIEVES IN ALONE MAYBE THAT'S WHY A LOT OF PEOPLE CHANGE THERE RELIGION LOL....SMGDH YOU GUYS NEED JESUS LOL

11.  Jazmin Sanchez: SMH 😐 Saying a prayer for all of those protesters. Instead of showing hate, go to church and pray for the guy. My goodness!

12.  Darlene Dydasco Camacho: Wow! I am not in any way Neo, but this is so embarrassing. We are not a people with so much hatred we cannot protest in silence and peace. God will provide. Prayer is much stronger. Come on Guam! 😳

13.  Angelica Denena: How embarrassing for our people. The first thing those people see are these "protesters", not the beauty of our island and warmth of our people.

14.  Lynn Meno Santos: Where was security? They should've been escorted off airport property.

15,  Jason F. Cruz: these people need to grow up and stop being a child they need to remember that Guam is a respectful Island we welcome everyone no matter what the situation but to do things like this is what makes Guam look Bad.

16.  Theresa Gutierrez-Eustaquio: Oh my goodness, so much hate. That's no way to be a Catholic. It makes me very sad to see that

17,  Ralia Marie: I may not be in favor neocatechumenal but this is very shameful.

18.  Jennifer Lynn This makes me really sad... No matter what you may disagree with when it comes to the Neocatechumenal Way, this is no way to treat a person .

19.  Jade Binx: Wow such shame. Where the hell is airport police at?

20. Joan Ysauo Reseky: Wow I'm not pointing fingers but tis is pretty embarrassing for us as a whole community of mixed islanders. It doesn't matter what church or island whatever ur from or what, tis is our island of paradise welcoming many many different different people no.matter what ethical believes u have. it's the love that makes us unique n the kindness family oriented believes in one unity and so forth. But after watching tis video it scares Me to think that the actually did tis to.tis poor.man. now what he's gonna say about the welcoming committee? My believes is no.matter what church and what not...if u are so called church or god believers then cast out whatever u hears and just go.with ur own believes. Following others in doing tis.is just shameful and it doesn't matter what the guy did.KEEP.UP.THE LOVE FOR.ONE ANOTHER AND DECREASE DA HATE OF.EVERYONE

21.  Linda Perez:   I'm not Catholic but it seemed rude. They should have protested in silence and from a distance. They were practically in his face and loud. Everyone has a right worship In their own way.

Freedom of expression includes the right to protest.  However, there are limits to freedom of expression.  One of the reasons why the United States have lost so much of their moral values is because people started looking more at their "rights" and forget their "responsibilities" that comes with those rights.  They prefer to have "rights", but no "responsibilities."  You have a right to protest, but you have a responsibility to be respectful of other people's rights.

The reason why many do not support these protesters is because of their rude and disrespectful behavior.  So, Rome is not listening to the junglefolks.  What you see in the video, which was captured on PNC news is not freedom of expression.  Going up to a person's face and yelling at him even as he was putting his luggage into the car is harassment.

Kudos to the Gennarinis for turning the other cheek and not retaliating.  By following what Jesus has taught, he has gained the support of the majority of Catholics and even non-Catholics on this island.  He has shown how a real Christian is supposed to behave.
