Like all things on Earth, everything has a beginning and an end. It has been over a year since Father Paul has placed his case in Rome. Yet, God still calls for reconciliation. So, let us pray for unity rather than division. Let us pray for reconciliation rather than conflict. Only God can bring unity and reconciliation. So, we wait for Him. We keep up our hope and continue to pray. Prayers are very powerful. God is with all who hope and pray and trust in Him. God always favor unity and reconciliation. God Always Calls For Unity And Reconciliation
Like all things on Earth, everything has a beginning and an end. It has been over a year since Father Paul has placed his case in Rome. Yet, God still calls for reconciliation. So, let us pray for unity rather than division. Let us pray for reconciliation rather than conflict. Only God can bring unity and reconciliation. So, we wait for Him. God calls for justice first to the victims.

DeleteThe victims can be a matter of perspective. You say that Father Paul was the victim because he was ousted from his parish, but then one has to look at the reason he was ousted? He was removed because he was disobedient. And now the case is being brought forth to Rome.
Archbishop should call for unity and reconciliation, he is the leader of the faithful here on Guam.

ReplyDeleteThe Archbishop IS calling for unity. As far as I can tell he doesn't post insulting posts on blog, nor does he chide and deride anyone who may be against him. The problem is not Anthony Apuron, the problem is much deeper. The problem lies in the heart of the 'jungle', those people who are ruled by their passions and refute all reasons and even deny the magisterium. They are fired up with pure hatred against the successor of the apostle who is our archbishop. Can we really have unity when the 'jungle folks' are crying out with venomous hatred?

DeleteWhen the Archbishop realize he did something wrong by saying something negative about Father Paul, he called Father Paul and apologized to him. Apologizing and asking for forgiveness is a first step toward unity and reconciliation.
i don't know sounds like he fell short otherwise we'd be unified by now and look at all that whats happened since..

Diana, it is not enough to say 'sorry'. There has to be some restorative justice that needs to be done to Father's Paul and James. Restorative justice looks like this " reinstate them to their positions because they are the victims of abuse of power and due process as stipulated in Canon Law.

ReplyDeleteI found it interesting to follow not because of the content, because 99% of it is actually posted by our brothers and sisters who are glued to the Tridentine Rite , which is not my cup of tea. I follow just so that I can understand more about what influences the hatred on junglewatch. More so, I am intrigued by Mr. Rorhs constant ignorance of Pope Francis. He recently said, WT__! in regards to Pope Francis' comments about Judas. I copied below...

So you see, like he says, "Stays out of the jungle!" It is not worth it and there is no hope for dialogue. That blog is all a joke and lost all its morality especially with their recent recruit, Mr. Toves. The "archbishop money dance" video should have been a clear sign to Tim that things are a bit loose in that brain.
True, I also have seen that Mr. Rohr is not big on manners. However, as regards the synod and the role of the Pope in it, there was cause for confusion for many Catholics. DeleteOf course the Archbishop cares for all the Catholic flock. He has visited all the Catholic schools, and is currently visiting all the parishes. I also know that many of the regular Catholics care about the Archbishop. There is only a very FEW who do not.
Diana - Hate to burst your bubble, but if you took a poll today of regular Catholics who care about Archbishop Apuron, there will be only a few who do.

DeleteIn the jungle, they encouraged their followers to tie a white ribbon on their car to show that they oppose the Archbishop. I have driven down Marine Drive so many times, and I have not yet seen one white ribbon on a car.

The flock is fine.....it is the lost sheep....the lost....who are in crisis. Affirms the Churches mission to be missionary. Sometimes though, the flock feels unattended, unrecognized.....crying out.....take care of me.....me. How can we grow in faith....in love if everything is about me.....me.
why do the lost sheep follow a middle-man shepard then? covering themselves with everything about him. pray for him? pray for him, a sinner?

Since when did he become the "Rock?" He is not even a Bishop. The Bishops of the Church and the Pope are the ones we are supposed to follow.
