Our Blessed Mother

Today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception.  We attended the procession at the Agana Cathedral.  Some of the NCW members were there.  Our Blessed Mother is important to all Catholics.  This feast day is also important to the Neocatechumenal Way because it was on December 8th when our Blessed Mother Mary appeared to Kiko Arguello and told him to build small communities.  The Blessed Virgin Mary inspired the Neocatechumenal Way.  Thus began the founding of the Neocatechumenal Way communities.  According to Pope Francis:
And today I confirm your call, I support your mission and I bless your charism.......... I also make these words my own and I encourage you to go forward, entrusting yourselves to the Holy Virgin Mary, who inspired the Neocatechumenal Way. May she intercede for you before her Divine Son.
The first seminary which ran under the auspices of the Way was established in Rome in 1987.  It coincided with the encyclical of St. Pope John Paul II, Redemptoris Mater promulgated on March 25, 1987 to celebrate the bimillennial anniversary of the birth of our Blessed Mother.  The seminary was named after our Blessed Mother as well.  Redemptoris Mater means "Mother of our Redeemer."

The icon below was  painted by Kiko Arguello after he received the inspiration of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and this icon is always used in our celebrations.  The inscription on the icon was written in Spanish:  "HAY QUE HACER COMUNIDADES CRISTIANAS COMO LA SAGRADA FAMILIA DE NAZARET, QUE VIVAN EN HUMILDAD SENCILLEZ Y ALABANZA; EL OTRO ES CRISTO."  This is translated in English as “We have to make Christian Communities like the Holy Family of Nazareth, that live in humility, simplicity and praise; (and where) the other (person) is Christ.”

  2. Its no wonder no-one takes you seriously. Do you actually believe that Our Lady appeared to the egotistical Kiko and founded the NCW?

And really?! Kiko painted the theotokos icon "after he received the inspiration of the Blessed Virgin Mary,"

More like he received the inspiration of the ancient iconogrphers that painted the actual icon.

Kiko is your idol. Its disturbing.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 3:16 pm,

You stated: "Do you actually believe that Our Lady appeared to the egotistical Kiko and founded the NCW?"

Why do you find it difficult to believe that our Blessed Mother would appear to Kiko Arguello? Do you not know that she appeared to a number of people like Juan Diego and the 3 children of Fatima? Oh ye of little faith.

Furthermore, four popes including Pope Francis has already declared that the NCW was inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary through Kiko.

And no, the NCW does not worship Kiko.

    3. Dear God is one,

They do not worship Monsignor James and Father Paul, but Rohr invested so much time and energy defending two priests who were grown up enough to take their case to Rome, which is what they did. They only needed Rohr to bring down the Archbishop, which appears to be what that secret meeting was all about.

    4. The problem was Tim listened to one side. He didn't know about the complaints from the parishioners who knew Lastimosa. Had Tim listened to both sides, he would have known that Archbishop Apuron was responding to the complaints from some of the Dededo parishioners who knew that Lastimosa was a sex offender. Instead, Fr. Paul went to the media trying to justify why he kept a convicted and registered sex offender as a volunteer worker in the parish. And Tim went along with that.

    5. Read text correctly. Word used is inspired yet you state appeared. It is possible for Our Lady to appear to her sons daughters. Mother of God inspired Kiko Arguello.

    6. Dear Anonymous at 11:31 pm,

The Fatima appeared to three children, and the letters they wrote were inspired by our Blessed Mother.

    7. I believe Kiko inspired by Blessed Mother. She inspired guided him in the way.
In same path Blessed Mother inspired Archbishop Anthony to bring way to Guam open RMS.
      God's will God's work.

    3. Dear anonymous at4:51 you didn’t see what Pope Francis always says it’s not about the church building it’s about letting god out and like how we in the way has always done get out of the building unlike some bishop who just only cares about the building because we go to the pageans we go to the poor we go to the sick we visit doc because we are gods instruments to announce the kerygma to them like how Pope Francis said most clearly on his way back to Rome we leave the comfort of our home and family to the world to die for the other to have our badges of martyrdom because we don’t live a Bouygues life making it about one place but a universal one
