Kamalen Karidat

Pictures tell a thousand words.  Below are photos of Kamalen Karidat feeding the homeless during Deacon Tenorio's time.

Employees from the Naval Facilities Engineering command (NAVFAC) Marianas volunteered their time to feed the homelss at Kusinan Kamalen Karidat in Hagatna on July 24, 2013.  You can read the story here.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam have been feeding the homeless since 2012 through Kamalen Karidat.  You can see the story here.

It was also Deacon Tenorio who expanded the services of Kamalen Karidat to the village of Dededo.  Below is a photo of the Chinese Chambers of Commerce of Guam helping Kamalen Karidat feeding the homeless at the Dededo Senior Center during Deacon Tenorio's time. You can see the story here.

Every month, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam dedicated to feed the homeless at Kamalen Karadat.  Below is another photo taken at the Dededo Senior Center. You can see the story here.

Below is a photo of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam Board of Directors and Moylan's Insurance employees.  Together, they combined their efforts in feeding the homeless at Kamalen Karidat on December 2016.  You can see the story here.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam, the Chinese Ladies Association of Guam, the employees at Moylan's Insurance, NAVFAC, and all those who volunteered at Kamalen Karidat under Deacon Tenorio's time can testify that the homeless were being fed.

CCOG, on the other hand, made a serious allegation against Archbishop Apuron and Deacon Tenorio.  They claimed that Kamalen Karidat was a sham and that the donations were going for the personal use of Archbishop Apuron and Deacon Tenorio.  They made the accusation; therefore, they need to produce their evidence rather than calling for an investigation.  You call for an investigation ONLY after you produce some evidence of your accusation.  Even the courts do the same.  They go to trial only if there is enough evidence to render a trial otherwise it becomes a waste of time and a waste of taxpayers' money.

  1. Thank you for posting the pictures. Feeding the poor and the hungry is one of KK's mission. But it is the perception that AB Apuron is projecting to the rest of the Catholic community. To the NCW here on Guam AB Apuron is revered. Another case in point, last Sunday a group from Israel ( Not to sure) came to our church to announce that they are selling items from the holy land. Just his accent and how he spoke English, people will have a perception that he is affiliated with the NCW. Most of the NCW priest on Guam speak English as their second language. Just my observation.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 2:32 pm,

The person has an accent because he is from Israel. He is not a member of the NCW. He sells hand-made items made in Israel to help the Christians in the Holy Land. They also go to the US, selling these same items to Catholics. The Christans in the Holy Land are in need of help because they are being persecuted.

The pictures I posted are NOT a perception from Archbishop Apuron. The pictures tell the truth. And you can confirm that truth with the Chinese Chambers Commerce of Guam and other volunteers who helped participate in helping the homeless at Kamalen Karidat.

  2. Diana, thank you for responding, my point is anything that AB Apuron is affiliated with, CCOG will question. That is all. I thanked you for posting the pictures and I stated that feeding the hungry and the poor is one of KK's mission. Please read my post. I did not insinuate anything reference about the pictures and AB Apuron. Have a nice day.

  3. Jesus spoke a language that people understood yet people rather than hearing; understanding; praying chose to crucify.

Comfortable Catholic's do not need messengers; they know it all.

The young men...the young priest of the NCW live by actions....not lip service.

    1. The problem is not serving the poor but the lack of transparency. These are distinct things from each other.

    2. Dear Joanne,

I disagree. CCOG clearly stated that donations from KK were being used by Deacon Tenorio and Archbishop Apuron for their personal use. They stated that KK was a sham and that the homeless was not being fed. However, the root of the problem is hatred. OK was never a target until Deacon Tenorio showed support for Archbishop Apuron.

    3. The Taxation does not care about allegations. CCOG is not an entity. The entity is Kamalen Karidat and the problem is the lack of transparency. Any organization owes to its supporters to make its budget transparent for them. Our bishop is concerned about the lack of transparency of a Catholic charity. Why do you think the lack of transparency in money matters is not a problem?

    4. I know. If you would not disagree I would not challenge you.

    5. Dear Joanne,

CCOG is an entity, and the only ones making the allegations is CCOG. Archbishop Byrnes acted as a result of CCOG's allegations.

    6. The problem is not what CCOG says. Or is your problem the same?! I would be surprised. Taxation is looking for transparency. This is the problem and this should be your problem, as well! Unless, of course, one ducks one's head in the sand...

    7. Dear Joanne,

Father Mike Crisostomo already stated that Deacon Tenorio fed the homeless. That was not the issue. The issue was poor record keeping. Also, taxation is not looking for transparency. CCOG is calling for the Department of Rev and Tax to do an investigation for allegations they still had not produced.

  6. I wish people will get their facts correct! Deacon Tenorio, has done good for the Island, feeding the homeless, caring for the poor, saving the unborn from Abortion. However, Deacon Tenorio, did not start the feeding of the homeless in Dededo!!! Father Mike Crisostomo and his New Administration, with the help of Mayor Savares initiated and expanded this program.

Please, quit causing confusing and division among our Catholic Church. Know your Facts!

    1. Dear Anonymous at 11:59 am,

For your information, Kamalen Karidat had been serving the homeless at the Dededo Senior Center under Deacon Tenorio. The evidence is in the photos. All Father Mike Crisostomo did was borrowed Deacon Tenorio's idea. I am not causing any division. I am setting the record straight.
