During these times of distress in our local Catholic Church in Guam, I need to stay focused. To keep my eyes looking up to Jesus Christ on the cross. There are times I judge and point my finger to those who make a lot of noise about church issues I disagree with. But who am I to judge? A voice within me quietly says: “For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” Matthew 7:2.
Walking in the Way helps me see my reality – that I am a sinner. Pope Francis said “I am a sinner. This is the most accurate definition. It is not a figure of speech, a literary genre. I am a sinner.” Saint Patrick admitted “I am Patrick, a sinner, most uncultivated and least of all the faithful and despised in the eyes of many.” And Saint Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 1:15 “This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am the foremost.”
God gently, lovingly helps me discover my reality. How? Catechesis. Celebrations of the Word. Celebrations of the Eucharist. Convivences. Penitential Celebrations. Preparations. And I am presently at the Beginning of the Year Convivence. Jesus Christ loves me! I thank God for the gift of the Neocatechumenal Way.
Thank you for your testimony. I also saw that you and your wife stood up to become a mission family. Congratulations. I was very impressed when Father Pius made the calling. About 19 families stood up when called to be mission families, many of them were from Guam.
There were only about 4 mission families who were not from Guam. They stood up simply to confirm to continue to walk as mission families. The rest were from Guam.

If many were from guam, where were the others from?
