Oceans Will Part Nations Come

It is not very often that I post a Charismatic Catholic song.  Most of the time, I would post the songs of the Neocatechumenal Way.  In the Way, we say that music is twice the prayer.  Most of the songs in the Way come from the Book of Psalms.  At any rate, this is one Charismatic Catholic song.  Music is a power that can evangelize when used properly.

The Apostle Paul may have been a Charismatic because he spoke in the tongues of angels.  St. Paul says that even if he speaks with the tongues of men and of angels, if he has no love in him, he is nothing:

1 Corinthians 13:1-2  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

  3. I am merely pointing out that there are consequences to the words you post and the claims you make. The whole Cardinal Tagle affair is an example. But it won't be the last. I know of people who are compiling every word you write, every strange distortion (think "concelebration" for example), so that the truth about the NCW will become clear.

    1. Dear Anonymous at 4:20 p.m.,

      Are you still hung up on the Cardinal Tagle affair?? Get over it already. The Pacific Daily News makes mistakes all the time, and I do not see you harping over every error the PDN makes. The Umatuna also made a mistake. The FACT is that the NCW was invited. There is no doubt about that. The confusion was over who invited us. So, the error was finally discovered and a retraction was printed on the very front of the Umatuna in big letters.

      You are compiling every word I write?? For what......revenge?? If you are going to make a thing about "concelebration" make sure that you also cite the source of where I got it. It is found in the Sunday's Visitor's Catholic Encyclopedia, which stated:

      "The term to concelebrate in the Early Church had a somewhat different meaning from the present, more technical understanding. In Christian antiquity, all Christians "concelebrated" according to their role or liturgical order in the Church.

    3. I wonder what was the purpose of the Jungle blog by withholding confidential information about the Cardinal Tagle invitation.

      If you read the thread of the blog you see how the information was deliberately withhold post by post in order to incite emotions. This followed an evil script to entice and entrap the readers of the blog who fell to the scheme with no exception. Just read the comments when the confidential Tagle letter was eventually exposed. It was a shameful hatchet job what the Jungle blog did by manipulation and delaying confidential information that was obtained by an international plot and therefore was known by the blog much earlier!

      This evil scheme was designed to thwart attention from the real thing that happened in the Philippines: the visit of the International Catechist Team that will be followed by establishing hundreds and hundreds of Neocatechumenal communities all around. The flocking of people into the new formation will ensue a spirited renewal of the whole Catholic Church in the Philippines. This is the truth that happened on June 6th, 2014. ;)

      Would it really surprise anyone if they knew that the Archbishop is a sinner like everyone else?? He is after all a man. How long are you going to carry a grudge for the Archbishop? Did you not learn from the Catholic Church to forgive?

    5. Dear Bernie,

      You are most likely correct in your assumption. It does appear that their tactic is to deliberately discredit the NCW.

      An anonymous poster claiming to be a Guam Neo in Junglewatch stated the following:

      AnonymousJune 7, 2014 at 12:52 AM

      At the event earlier today, in a holding room filled with many top ranking neos waiting for their cue to come on stage to talk, Kiko overheard a conversation going on between Cardinal Tagle and the Responsibles in the Philippines apologizing to him about the article posted in the Umatuna. Kiko came over and blurred out, "Oh don't pay attention to those crazy reporters".

      So it looks like not only did the Archbishop sell out Ms. Dulla, but also did Kiko. It looks like it runs in the Kiko-family.

      Guam Neo that was present

      http://www.junglewatch.info/2014/06/now-click-here.html#comment-form

      It appears that the confusion may have started with the Responsibles in the Philippines....otherwise why apologize to Cardinal Tagle about the Guam Umatuna. It is possible that the Responsibles may have implied to the NCW in Guam that Cardinal Tagle invited us, and the truth was later discovered sometime after May 29th. May 29th is the date on the Cardinal's letter. That means that the letter was written on that date. Once Jennifer Dulla received the letter, the article in the Umatuna was removed.

      It is then understandable why the Responsibles in the Philippines approached the Cardinal and apologize for the article in the Umatuna. If the misunderstanding actually came from the NCW in Guam, the NCW in Guam and the Archbishop would be the one apologizing, but such is not the case according to that particular witness who wrote in Junglewatch. Unfortunately, Junglewatch is asserting that it is the fault of the NCW in Guam and that the Archbishop is the one who should apologized to the cardinal.

      I agree that the Cardinal Tagle letter was used as ruse to draw attention away from something far more significant than a minor miscommunication.

  4. The truth of what happened is that it was a sham. The video is clear evidence of the use of crowd manipulation and peer to induce the desire result. This is evident at the end when the girls start to go up to the stage in response to Kiko. You can see some hesitation at first, but if you observe carefully you will see girls respond after seeing others go to the stage. I'm sure there were some that truly felt the calling, but there were also many that obviously did not. This is evident by the dreadful crying by some of the girls on stage. Many of these were not cries of joy; you can see some of them comforting each other. Similar to a scene you might scene on t.v., a move, or documentary about human trafficking/slavery. They are not there by choice, hence the dreadful crying.

    One of the tactics used to get commitments from these young girls is crowd manipulation and peer pressure. Hitler used to his advantage. The girls may also feel the pressure from their parents and community. The pressure could come in a negative/positive for but still create the desired effect/action. There is also pressure to make your peers, family and community proud by volunteering; thus increasing the number of volunteers from your community. This is evident by the constant attention paid to the numbers during the entire event.

    Another thing is their age. There were many girls committing at such a young age. These girls are not old enough to determine for themselves if they are ready to make such a commitment, and no one else should be making that decision for them through manipulation or peer pressure. The should be mentored and guided through a process of discernment. The opposite can cause extreme psychological damage if they come to the decision that it is not their calling, but had already committed. Shame, guilt and feelin that they turned their back on God are only some of the feelings that could hurt them in the long run.

    1. Dear Anonymous 8:37 a.m.,

      You mention age as a problem? God can call anyone regardless of age. The history of the Church shows that we even have very young martyrs who were willing to give up everything for Christ such as Maria Gorettil (spelling). When Aaron Quitugua wanted to join the seminary, did you question his age?

      I agree that not everyone of those youths who got up there will become priests and nuns. They will be going through a process of discernment in pre-vocation and in their scrutinies.. Yes, we have pre-vocation and scrutinies to determine if the girls are really committed to the life of the monastery or not.

      And by the way, when these youths were called, there were NO music playing in the background. Kiko called for any boys who want to be in the priesthood, and there was NO music playing in the background.....only a call to the priest. It was the same with the girls. The music only started playing when they were being blessed by the bishops.

      You compare this calling from God to human trafficking and slavery? Human trafficking and slavery were definitely forced. These youths in the Neocatechumenal Way, on the other hand, were not forced. As anyone can see, NOT all the youths went to the stage. It was their choice.

    2. a blind kiko is one who does the following:

      1. Take ANY criticisms against the NCW and categorizes such as a persecution against themselves
      or the community.

      2. Does not question what their catechists say or seek to learn more about their faith other
      than what is catechized to them. It's as if the Book of Life suddenly began with the NCW and
      anything outside of the dogma of their catechesis is circumspect.

      There is a big difference between criticisms of the NCW and persecution of people. When you persecute people, you target certain persons such as the Archbishop.

    Now, nobody can say there was no opportunity to handle this right. But Jungle blog decided not to follow decency. It's clear that the Cardinal's letter was leaked and was secretly obtained by Jungle blog as soon as May 29th. This tells a lot about the international anti-Neocatechumenal network that supported this plot.

    Of course the blog took advantage of the information in this confidential letter to incite emotions higher and higher, mocking this blog of Diana on international forums and even inciting racial tension which is simply unforgivable. While Diana had access to the published resources only, Jungle blog held back the confidential information they obtained and released it with considerable delay amid much manipulation on June 6th only in order to self-glorify themselves. See the 168 comments hailing the plot:

    It was extremely narcissist behavior as someone properly noted. What is more, Jungle blog did not shy away from abusing the name of Cardinal Tagle and his letter to make advances for personal gain. This was a most deplorable and unacceptable scheme that all Catholics with a healthy conscience and clean heart should reject immediately! However, as the 168 comments to this post show very clearly, the gullible audience of Jungle blog was successfully fooled and entrapped into glorifying this serious misbehavior. This is a burning shame for Jungle blog and its folks forever.

    As the Bible says:
    "29 Do not plan harm against your neighbor
    who lives trustingly beside you.
    30 Do not quarrel with anyone without cause,
    when no harm has been done to you.
    31 Do not envy the violent
    and do not choose any of their ways;
    32 for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord,
    but the upright are in his confidence.
    33 The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked,
    but he blesses the abode of the righteous.
    34 Toward the scorners he is scornful,
    but to the humble he shows favor.
    35 The wise will inherit honor,
    but stubborn fools, disgrace."

  9. i think you miss the point entirely, if the letter was received on May 29th why did it not appear immediately on umatuna.org on that day or that day after?

    Perhaps JW was waiting on the big machine of the Archdiocese to make the proper moves to publish the letter or the retraction?

    if sincerely it was a mistake, why UP TO NOW, hasn't it been published to clear the Cardinal's name?

    35 The wise will inherit honor,
    but stubborn fools, disgrace."

    1. Dear Catholic United,

      The date "May 29, 2014" on the Cardinal's letter means that it was written on that day. It does NOT mean that it was received on that day. The day that the Umatuna took the story out of their website was the day they received the letter. The possibility exists that by the time they received the letter, the Umatuna may have already been printed and sent off to the Chuches, but they are able to take it out from their website.

      The Umatuna is NOT a daily newspaper. It is published every week, so the Erratum was printed the following week. Also, they did clear the Cardinal's name. It was reported in the Erratum that the information regarding Cardinal Tagle inviting the initiator of the Way was an error.

  10. Because the Cardinal's letter was "leaked out", secretly obtained and even disclosed to the public without the Cardinal's permission, an investigation may be in order. I do not think that Cardinal Tagle would want his personal letters and confidential documents be "leaked out." Rather, he would be offended by it.

    1. What you say is not true Diana! The letter was to have been printed as instructed by the Cardinal! You can investigate all you want, but the truth as always will prevail!

    2. Dear Anonymous at 12:35 p.m.,

      I am in no position of authority to order the investigation. Tim Rohr admitted that he received the letter through someone in the Philippines. So, the investigation will have to start in the Philippines under the Cardinal's staff. As I said, I do not think that the Cardinal would want his personal letters or confidential documents being "leaked out". The letter was personally addressed to Jennifer Dulla and ccd to two other persons. I do not see Tim Rohr's name in it.

      What kind of truth prevails through illegal and dishonest means? As Bernie righty pointed out....this says much more about the international anti-Neocatechumenal network that supported this plot and whose only goal is self-glorification.

    8. We are expecting answers to some obvious questions from the Jungle blog. First of all, how did they obtain confident correspondence from Cardinal Tagle to a journalist at the Umatuna?

      There is a very credible assumption that Jungle blog paid money to those who stole the letter from the Cardinal in Manila. Pinoy Catholic was obviously involved. Jungle blog bought the leaked confidential information as an investment to break into the Italian anti-Neocatechumenal market for fame and glory, where anything "anti-Kiko" sells good. Jungle blog will sell its shamelessly self-created story to them. This was the whole essence of the premeditated script they followed.

      The second question is why did Jungle blog withhold information for 8 days, creating 16 completely unnecessary blog posts with 548 comments about the plot? What was the purpose? Why did they use immoral tactics and manipulative techniques to push their ways through? I cannot just recall what I have read about the Free Masons who historically employed the same kinds of secret plots and malignant conspiracy to undercut Church authorities. Was this the hidden goal of Jungle blog?

      No conversation is possible with those who were involved in this evil scheme unless we obtain honest and serious answers to these questions, including written apologies to
      1. Cardinal Tagle for using his good name for personal purposes,
      2. Archbishop Apuron for making baseless accusations against him and
      3. Diana for being dishonest with her, trying to entrap her and both the audience of her blog and the audience of Jungle blog.

      "30 The words of good people are wise,
      and they are always fair.
      31 They keep the law of their God in their hearts
      and never depart from it.

      34 Put your hope in the Lord and obey his commands;
      he will honor you by giving you the land,
      and you will see the wicked driven out.

      35 I once knew someone wicked who was a tyrant;
      he towered over everyone like a cedar of Lebanon;
      36 but later I passed by, and he wasn't there;
      I looked for him, but couldn't find him.

      39 The Lord saves the righteous
      and protects them in times of trouble.
      40 He helps them and rescues them;
      he saves them from the wicked,
      because they go to him for protection."
